So the family silver has finally been sold..and we're suddenly in partnership talks again, not just for NXP002 but also NXP004. Wonders never cease!
Unfortunately (and as usual) we don't know who we're talking to (maybe understable) just as we don't know how much Oxilio is paying for full ownership of NXP001 (not acceptable in my opinion) but, hey ho, we have to respect the commercial rights of a private company over and above transparency for shareholders in a plc.
What I find really curious is why a company would sign a licensing deal which pays royalties (albeit severely capped), put it on the back-burner (didn't someone say here OXL001 was nothing to do with NXP001?) so no milestones are paid then decide to purchase complete ownership BUT leave the royalties in place. Scratching my head on that one.
I wonder how different the undisclosed, 'immediate and near term milestones' are from the milestones we would have got had they simply progressed it from the start of the original licensing deal?
Following on from the incredibly accurate news, here is another quote from Thompi's TG post:
"Make of it you what you will. TBH it doesn’t make much odds to me. I only have a very small holding having taken a big hit a while back. Water under the bridge for me now,"
Surely that doesn't mean he's sold the majority of his shares in Nuformix? I don't remember seeing the TR1, maybe someone can point me to the RNS. I thought he was fully invested, like all us LTH's that he desperately wants to see get rewarded. Maybe it's the Oxilio shares he's got rid of?
If he hasn't dumped his Oxilio shares then I reckon those 'odds' will be significantly improved in the long run.
"The licensing discussions with Boehringer must be going well then!"
Presumably you have some irrefutable, concrete evidence that those discussions are actually taking place...just so that we can strike off any possibility that you're another P&D clown trying to escape the nightmare of being locked-in?
PS. Just because Dan says that the conference is "incredibly constructive and educational" doesn't mean that any Business Development breakthroughs are being made. We've heard it all before.
Only a red-hot big pharma deal will do.
