LT, Nuformix is not a defensive stock. It is ridiculous to even suggest that this is a safe haven for money at any point let alone during an oil crisis created by WW3 kicking off in the middle east.
Nuformix may not be directly affected because they don't yet have manufacturing facilities that rely on petrochemical based ingredients nor supply chains and logistics to worry about. Any prospective large pharma partner might though. If Trump does a runner after destroying Iran without cleaning up his mess then those worries about high costs might persist for quite some time and affect the entire world economy. Healthcare services may have to prioritise and cut drug funding. That might ultimately affect big pharma company decisions about partnering.
Trump said in a briefing last night that he thought other countries should be responsible for opening and policing the straits of Hormuz. Countries that depend on that route for energy supplies...because the US doesn't...his words! So it looks like he might just pull the plug and withdraw to focus on his next target.
That is, of course, assuming that the proverbial train model wheels don't fall off on the available tracks...because a due dilligence test disappoints.
Lots of variables and uncertainty. IMHO this is nowhere near a done deal at this point, based on what have (or have not) been told by the board about how well-progressed discussions are.
