So far with golds rise there seems certainly to me a disconnect between smaller miners and the metal. I’ve tended towards larger entities BR gold and general being one such. Theory being if you call it wrong then you have a spread of risk in larger companies that will endure. Smaller outfits can be really tough. Would tend to take a smaller position , watch it very carefully and be quick to take a loss if necessary which I’ve certainly had to do. Being an amateur I can’t bring fundamental analysis to bare but I choose folks who can and look for general price movements to provide opportunity. As far as OMI is concerned and your experience it’s a large % loss which can’t be at all pleasant. At today’s price a different view could be taken tho management is key. You might not rate them but you shouldn’t actively distrust them. So I’ll observe. I do sincerely hope you at least pare any losses.

HL quoting 3.95 for 200k. Not quite ready to buy but will certainly resume following. For Gold movement have rated Norvast ( Twitter) and Savage. Expect gold uptick followed by a nastyish pull back in next wee bit. Following that a big rise. Smaller PM equities hopefully a leveraged play.

From a consumer’s perspective early access to a reliable, abundant and clean source of gas will confer a significant competitive advantage over local and international compatriots. This will enhance every aspect of their businesses. From our end , could we possibly have a quicker route to production ? A better tax and regulatory environment ?? . A better proximity to European market ??? . A lower risk/ cost to development ???? . Given all of these obvious advantages even very modest volumes will really pay off for we shareholders . Anything beyond that will be quite something . GLA

Sir Keir Starmer will announce plans to block all new North Sea oil and gas developments and limit borrowing to green investment only as part of a radical blueprint to make Britain a “clean energy superpower”. However, Starmer’s decision to turn off the taps in the North Sea is not expected to come without challenges amid fears it could force the UK to place more reliance on energy imported from countries such as Russia and Saudi Arabia. Too many lawyers not enough engineers and scientists. Certainly won’t help Irelands energy security.
