When NRW inspected Llechfraith in October..

The NRW officers were met by the Chief Operating Officer/Senior Geologist and the Mining Ops Manager from Alba Mineral Resources plc. The officers were escorted around the mine.

The Water discharge from the site was inspected first where the process of treatment was explained to the officers. No problems were identified.

Operations activities inside the mine were then explained and the officers were shown inside areas of the mine. No problems were identified.

Please ensure the tonne bags containing tailings that were located on the track that leads to the mine are stored in a location were heavy rainfall cannot cause any runoff from these materials to the nearby watercourse the Afon Cwm Llechen.

You will also see a link to a plan that shows all current options in Wales and their expiry dates.

The Crown Estate does not grant licences to mine, but option holders may apply for a mining lease if they have gained a satisfactory planning permission and meet other criteria in line with the guidance provided on the website.  Mines royal options have a maximum duration of 10 years and at expiry, the holder may apply for a new option in line with the stated application process.

These are 8g Welsh Sovereign coins from 1989 made from Gold out of Gwynfynydd Gold Mine.. about 4 times the value of Full Gold sovereign coins (£500).

Hopefully Alba will get their PR working and will get Nationally and Internationally attention.

Not sure how the Grant and extension works.

Alba got an 6 Year Exploration licence for Gwynfynydd Gold Mine in 2020 till 2026.

GMOW probably got the Clogau Gold Mine Exploration in 2015, then was extended in 2021 for another 4 years.

I'm not sure if this can be extended again or another application is required for a further 6 years Exploration licence. Alba have created a Good working Relationship with all Parties like NRW and Snowdonia.

I guess Alba need to keep up a 2 yearly update with the Crown Estate or Wardell Armstrong.

Clogau Gold mine should be straight forward but Gwynfynydd is another story.

There was an RNS about Crown Estate royalties, was it 1%.

But Alba can Mine & Sell Gold under the Exploration Licence.

I'm sure Ocelot or ScotAlba are more knowledgeable than me.

From Feb 2021

The Exploration Licence has now been extended for a further four years, being the maximum extension possible under the terms of the original licence. As such, the Exploration Licence will now remain in full force and effect until 9 February 2025. In keeping with the original licence terms, GMOW is required to submit formal progress reports every two years. As and when GMOW is ready to proceed to commercial production, it will apply to convert the Exploration Licence into a formal, long-term Lease.

George Frangeskides, Alba's Executive Chairman, commented: "We are delighted to have secured the maximum possible extension to our exclusive exploration licence over the Clogau-St David's Gold Mine. We can now continue our progress towards reopening the mine, secure in the knowledge that our rights are protected into the future."

Settlement Tank is letting Clean water flow into the River, that being pumped from the Lower Levels to keep from flooding.

But be nice if there was Heavies at the bottom of the Settlement tank.

Crown Estate own the Gold and Silver and Alba have Crown Licence.

I'm no lawyer or Geologist, landowners don't necessarily own Mineral rights below land. Just access to any Adit by permission.
