Roundtable Discussion; The Future of Mineral Sands. Watch the video here.
Will we see any positive action though? Doubt it.
Mr Rees-Mogg said: "I think hydrogen is ultimately the silver bullet. I can see how you create it from renewable sources because you have the wind power where people are not drawing on the electricity system. You use it as an effective battery. And it then can be with some adjustments piped through to people's houses to heat them during the winter.

Well put. Truss, who has a near impossible job, is bad enough but WRM is the nightmare. As far as the new cabinet member is concerned aiming for net zero can wait (for ever?) I suspect he does not believe global warming to be a problem or indeed true and that we will see the UK using more oil, gas and probably coal - it will be expressed in terms of the only way we can get through this is to push for growth at any cost - but in reality it will see the divisions in incomes grow ever wider and life on and for this planet grow ever grimmer.
PM44 - seems a reasonable answer. I also feel that the case for Hydrogen is not fully taken by this government (or the opposition if there is such a thing now) . I suspect/fear that they will go for a conventional approach - more of the same - drill for oil and gas, throw money at large nuclear projects and hope that small nuclear reactors prove to be the answer. Lip service will be paid to conservation, "alternative technologies and soft energy paths" but actually nothing will be done - other than interminable reviews. Meanwhile planning laws and building regulations will stay the same or get worse - less insulation as a basic standard. Doom and gloom.
Note - I still see this as a strong buy - and have added considerable in the last few weeks. BUT
Anyone care to help me with this . .
As the case for Hydrogen grows ever stronger . . . the SP of ITM, Ceres, Clean Hydrogen, Getech - you name it - falls ever lower.
