110 is below my average - I intend to hold for at least double my average (see how it goes.... 10x would be nice).
But I am wondering about buying more - I'm sure GDR deserve it. tbh I meant to catch the daily morning dip around 9am but I was busy. Should I wait for tomorrow or pay 112..... I suspect I wont last the afternoon without buying a few

a bit of wider context in there.
On the 12 hour view, I'm encouraged by the upward trend of the support offered in the dips. One to watch before deciding I feel.

Today seemed to have lots of selling off across the board, if not here then where.
It's not gone through trials yet? The Russians might fill this gap with some of their "Healthcare Diplomacy" in the form of SputnikV
+4% was up.
Daily changes don't matter much.
Sure we need some news, but better to be down a bit with no news, than down a bit with news as others are today.
while you Muppets are selling your shares, BC are filling that March financial statement full of lots of justification for your lonely regret.
Covid is here to stay, enough tests to make this fly will be required. Chase your pipe dreams elsewhere or stay for positive reality - your choice.
... good genes hold GDR stock LTH

I find this talk of PCR testing for specific variants combined with DB's LinkedIn post about genomic sequencing all very interesting.... surely linked?
Honestly ppl, there's only one question you need to answer - is GDR going to rise LT, if you think so, then stock up - if you don't then what are you doing here? ... allow me to show you the door.
The vaccine will shortly show it's true colours either way in the data around actual use (Isreal is already reporting data which suggests confirmation with trial data, and the UK single dose strategy looks better than expected too). I wonder if we're going to have stricter PCR referral/request criteria in society than there was in the trial, and with better conformance - I suspect not. The end points of the trials are defined, and the data reported is relevant to those points and not much else. Also the testing regime tells us something about "suspected covid"; everyone who had a PCR test originally was suspected of symptomatic covid, and only about 5% were positive - that suggests of 20 self diagnosed as "suspected covid" 19 are wrong. The numbers obviously change as the peaks go up and down, and the role of testing changes (e.g testing asymptomatic footballers changes that argument a bit) and depending on test sensitivity and specificity. I mean to only make generally interesting & informative comments.
I think most of the ones I see in NHS settings are innova ones.

I don't know this for sure by any means, but given they way Government bought anything it could throughout summer I wouldn't be surprised to find we're just finding uses for tests we know are not the market leaders. Just me getting grumpy maybe.
@ RacingCyclist - Work is not a binary option, a job is not a binary thing. Go talk to them, say hey - I'm a time when I want some family time, and I want some work - can we work that out. 3 days, 4 days. 9 day fortnight, consulting, just standing in when they're busy or covering their holidays.... I don't know what you do. You didn't go all in or nothing with your shares did you, and you don't have to do that with any job either.
btw - thanks for writing this.... "To me this means not being constrained by the conditioning of fear" so many are not as free as they could be - please be free.
Octopus AIM VCT plc (“the Company”) is a venture capital trust
(“VCT”) which aims to provide shareholders with attractive
tax-free dividends and long-term capital growth by investing
in a diverse portfolio of predominantly AIM-traded companies. The Company is managed by Octopus Investments Limited (“Octopus” or the “Manager”). Octopus, assuming the same folks, are fund managers I think. I buy their stuff occasionally. Unicorn too. Have a look down the hl funds search.
No.... pretty much any absolutist view towards the periphery of the argument on either side is likely to be nonesense. And pretty much anything towards the middle is on average less nonsense.
It's up to you where you sit. If you don't keep room for uncertainty in your own view then you're tending towards absolutist.... and therefore wrong (imv). So it must remain plausible in your own mind that all the people here are lovely caring folks, and they're not all trying to manipulate the £80M market with a tenner. I am though waggling a feather in the breeze hoping to generate a bit of sun this summer.
"ihavenoclue" < here's a clue. A fun suggestion, that's all.
You are so fortunate as to have gained such a wealth of life experience in such matters - I am envious. However there are only three options a holder can do, i) sell ii) hold, iii) buy more. They are definite actions which can be counted, on which some of us could do some maths.
Could we also quit the hypocrisy of the duplicitous narratives, on the one hand "nothing I say should have any influence, DYOR" and on the other "You'll collapse a market speaking like that". Both are nonsense - as I said, truth is almost always the boring balance of the middle ground.
