I think BKY's in Sprott's junior U miners etf, and has been for a while. I just wondered if sprott'd got a sniff some specific news might be in the offing?

Even if not, it's understandable they'd buy, agree excellent sector and play, very much on the radar, good "insurance" with the arbitration. And less than 3 years to the next election and hopefully a new government who'll act lawfully and permit!

Interesting timing to be increasing their shareholding. Playing the long game perhaps. Despite the nuclear renaissance gaining traction I'm not sure there's any near term prospect of progress at BKY's project under the current government.

Someone correct me if I'm out of date, but I think the current position is still as per the Sept webinar, ie that Hypromag are focusing on the infrastructure development and are aiming to dovetail commissioning of the HPMS vessel (which is being built in Germany) with that. Should all come together later this year. So the Sept date is redundant, but not a concern.

I like to think we'll see the mother of all funding RNSs before year end.

Looking back on 2024, Jan was clearly too early for a comprehensive funding package, and a couple of small raises to get past some milestones first was the right thing to do.

With this year's geopolitics, progress across the various business lines, MDA, recycling partnerships, and hopefully commercial production of recycled magnets and a positive US feasibility study to come in the next few months, the ducks are lining up.

There must surely be a number of funders closing in fast on the opportunities here.

Rio have 19.9% of SVML (t/o if they want more) and a director announced a big on market purchase of shares today.

Whilst the various grant amounts are proportionately small in the big scheme of things, it's all v significant imo.

If the recycling scale up and tech roll out plans are good enough to receive public money (where the bar's high), what better comfort for the big money (the potential strategic investors, project finance providers etc) !!

He's a capricious so-and-so that Mr Market, but LGEN offers very good value and yield atm imo.

Imo disposing of Cala was the right thing to do. Looks like there's been proper exposure to the market eg with Persimmon's interest, so I guess these are the best terms available.

The RNS is thin, but I trust we're properly secured with debentures and guarantees etc for the £660m (presumably interest free) deferred consideration arrangement over 5 years. We don't want any risk of loss on default.

I wonder what Persimmon will come back with. A bidding war would be nice!

So what should MKA have done? Declare (if so to whom?) suspicions the Malawian AG was on the take? Or that the regulated law firms were?

Seems to me MKA are well advised and blameless and indeed raised the concerns.

MKA and Malawi have been v positive about the MDA since signature.

Makes you wonder again what the strategic review will conclude if this is the kind of carp we're up against.

I recall the rutile was explored but everything other than Songwe has been on the backburner for years whilst the Songwe MDA was negotiated. Funding and FEED next for Songwe but maybe we'll see some other assets progressed too now. The strategic review will consider this presumably.

The 2 larger trades today were buys btw.

I liked Will's comments on RE prices in the webinar. He sees them as past the bottom of the cycle now. He also believes the market/SP undervalues Songwe and that the mining side of MKA's business is more sensitive to RE prices than the recycling.

So hopefully the rising Ndpr price should now translate into a v nice SP rise.
