Haywood and hope got the licence when few wanted them and Eog thought it was a good opportunity. We are now hoping to get a bigger partner , to put in multiple of what we invested. What is the difference?

Coming 4-5 weeks will tell all. We need a signed deal by oct 5th Oct to get the extension, which then should be a formality.

Ideally

1. Chevron is the partner ,as it’s a premier major and as important , it owns the nearby infrastructure distribution hub.

2. A 50/50/20 split

3. A drill and also Test on a full carry.

4. Some upfront cash to top it off.

All of the above , should see 3p-4p . It is very strange we are not nearer 1p by now but odds are in our favour that a deal will be signed.

Serif, they are not going to make a public declaration.

Firstly, there is no need for it. Secondly , it only forewarns the environmentalists and thirdly, there is nothing to be gain politically for them. These things are done behind the scenes.

As mentioned before ,I spoke to a senior member in the FF backroom a few months ago . His attitude was” you have a ffen licence , go for it . It’s now an easier political sell and broadly the party would welcome it.

To be fair to PRD , they have been meeting TD’s for the last few years , making their case . EOG have not . Using a publicly registered Political lobbyist , is not the same .

That would ok for an energy company but we are talking about a” Major “energy company and where the probability of successful outcome is 80% .

Most of these deals fall through because of financing or lack of ( ask any barryroe investor.) so no, I don’t think at the moment, the market is pricing this stock correctly.

i suppose it depends what you mean by near term.

My rough lunchtime calculations would still have us with £.3 to £.4m cash at year end .This is based on the £1m in accounts at last year end, the 1/2m revenue share income and the income from existing Wells.

This is assuming

1. no capex.

2. no disruption to wressle for rest of year .

3. oil prices and fx remaining roughly the same and

4. they have maintained the same firm handle on expenditures.

But as many have said ,a successful farm out is imperative, ideally with a cash upfront element as part of eog/antlers negotiations strategy.

So imho, greed aside, at least 1+p would be a good indicator of its future value . I think it will reach that value soon when the overhang and traders profits have been cleared.

Hard to believe it is still at .7p after HOT with “Major” energy company. Looks like traders departing, overhand from bgf and it also looks , as others have argued, Polus are departing. A good TR1 needed to boost things.

Serif, you are right , I had forgotten about the shareholders update on the site in June . Still , we will wait and see.

We don’t know Polus are selling or want to sell their entire stake . They decreased it in January , maybe because they felt it was going nowhere , whereas now?? It wouldn’t surprise me if they had bought back in .
