High five Mav. Agree.
I thought they had 8% but Mark highlighted Mubadala actually have 16% so pretty significant investors I’d say. They only ever invest where there is growth.
Being a Mcr girl I see first hand what Sheik Mansour has done to the City. He’s basically transformed a hole. And regenerated a whole section of a city. It’s something to behold.
Which is why like MIC I’m invested here at this ridiculously underpriced share price and will sit and wait happily until this savvy investment plays out. Bumps and all
Yes Mav...
I’d like to add re: Mic Capital (the Mubadala Investment Company -for anyone who doesn’t know google them!) Abu Dhabi state owned Sovereign Wealth investment company.
The director’s of which are of course the Crown Prince His Highness Sheikh Mohamed & Sheikh Mansour bin Zayad al Nayhan. Board members of which are the most senior pub/priv sector people. Their sole shareholder being the UAE government.
Company’s Purpose of which is to diversify the UAEs petroleum wealth into profitable long term economic growth for the country. ..
Impressive investor.
Hi Mav, so you say it was JB who brought MIC in?? Now that does change things. Good stuff good stuff.
It doesn’t sound like JB plans to lose. Id like to think that he doesn’t need us PI’s for the vote and that He’s already got the numbers. But he’s gained loads of support from the boards lack.
Either way at these prices, this is an opportunity of a lifetime for investors if they can just have patience.
I think there’s stuff that will blow our ordinary minds going on behind the scenes. Chess pieces in position...
Hi Maverick, I like that theory. With GC as the Trojan horse on the inside and who ends up the hero. I think he’s a good guy and gets slated for going behind JB’s back but if he’s on JB’s side he could very well be integral. I’d love for him & JB to have loyalty all along and have been in cahoots to work together again all the while.
I feel like I’m missing something. There’s so much that we don’t know. So many bigger things at play.
I’m also massively intrigued about mic capital. Being one of our significant investors. The UAE sovereign wealth investors do not invest their wealth or stay invested in failing companies. And if they do it’s because they are ‘invested’ and I mean invested. They have the influence and money to turn something 360. I don’t know who they are backing in this boardroom tussle. But until they sell out I’m following the money.
I’d love to think it’s a JB though. Benamor being an Arabic name too. Could they have links and a relationship based on loyalty, trust etc. That would be my dream come true. Does anyone else have any ideas on that?
All just theories aren’t they... I’ve second guessed so many times and as Seamus says we don’t really know anything.
I hope so Timmy. I want whats right in all this as well. It’s as though the board or certain members of are untouchable/unaccountable/without consequence. Always this way in corporate world. I’ve never understood it at all at all and it makes no sense that people can have a hand in f*ing things up and IF they get caught out they resign / move on with no consequence to another fabulous FTSE directors role with a lovely golden parachute.
And that’s only IF. It takes someone who doesn’t give a hoot to do what’s right and go against the establishment/the old boys/the suits. Whatever it is it’s very hard to break through and that’s very hard to do. I know this through being a woman with ambition it’s a peculiar world the corporate one, that left me no option but to always work for myself. I can’t stand by injustice by the old boys that’s rife, and as shareholders we’re lucky that we’ve been allowed to see what’s actually been going on in AMIGO. Bravo JB . I hope this time now shareholders understand what’s been going on that they support him.
Morning Spudo, great message that will def resonate with many. Keep the belief. And you’re right we’re putting a lot of faith on one person. But we have to put our faith in one side of course as this is the situation we hold in or have come into as newish investors. And it’s JB every time for me. The board do nothing but scare on the future of this business and instead of giving me hope by laying out firm plans and how this is going to move forward, they don’t. They scare and name call and force ‘on the fence’ investors into a corner. Silly mistake. JB was the beginning and is the future for me.
Board... give me something. Instead of strategy they’ve given the choice of fear. Big mistake.
There is so much more going on here in the background that we even know. But from what I do know I know who I’ll be backing any day of the week.
Also there was a really succinct summary on Twitter that I read this morning that I defo recommend a quick read of if you’ve time. It basically summarised in layman’s terms all the reasons why you should vote for the board and not JB. There was one reason... that Nayan knew the business and was qualified for the role. How fantastic! A real valid reason to vote the board where qualifications come ten a penny. Wow just wow. This is our board. Its not wrong to want a bit more thanks.
Great msg Thaw. Another topsy turvy week as amigo’s. But looking forward to this next month now. The first stage of JB’s plan is done. He’s done what he’s said. It feels like a huge weight. It must feel very strange and sad for JB letting go of his baby. Hopefully it’s like when you give your kids to the babysitter and run out of the door... you want to get back to them straight away...
And guys this is what it feels like to be communicated to!!!! I know right!!! As Amigo holders we’re not used to that are we??! Respect to him for that. He’s sold out and he doesn’t need to be going on twitter to apologise.
Let the Next stage begin... we’re hardened holders. We know how to ride the drops, the de-rampers and the fear. Let them see how when the people come together they rise up.
Have a top weekend guys. Love the important ones. And eff the rest...
Hi here kitty kitty, if you like stomach churning, feeling sick, losing hair, not sleeping, eating or getting any work done cos you’re on the BB All day. This is the share for you.
Ha ha joking aside there is plenty of upside on 14p. I got in at 9p and I’m averaged now at 14.25p from weeks ago so don’t feel like you’ve missed the boat . Feels like a lifetime ago. I’ve seen that boom to £40k profit in a day and sink to £26k loss (poss more I stopped checking). LT it’s life changing. My views.
There are some brilliant varied posters on here who are very knowledgable.
GL and let us know if you go for it. Exciting...
nighty noo
Hi Cando! I’ve never written on a BB either before this one. I glance in on some but I’ve never known anything like this. Then I loved reading in on here feeling a common bond but none of you knew. I just couldn’t take it anymore and posted. It’s extremes this bloody share.
I have to say I’ve taken so much positivity from you. Thank you! Belief, research & conviction to see it through during dark days. You kept me going to be able to maintain the patience. I firmly believed this investment but there were so so many negative posters. That it got hard checking in.
Your positivity and belief mirrored mine but when that many horrors are telling you that your gonna be skint when this goes a slow demise to bust it’s tough. So my thanks to you tonight! High fives
No no no Mouse you are totally right and have a point. But they are in a very strong financial position and when they open their model factory they will lead the way. Just like they always do. Most of the textiles industry is awful, they’re UK based so getting slammed by the press. It’s one I’ll need patience with for sure. But I invest in people and the Kumani’s are people i invest in (For me anyway).
Oh I misunderstood you there Fig. I jumped on & saw PP1 getting called a Snowflake and was like ahh he’s back.
Ahh right ok I see where you’re coming from.
I’m actually in BOO have been since the 23p days and it’s basically set my life up. So I know PP1 from there. Total different person to how they’re seen on this BB mind. I’m from MCR aren’t I. So I followed the BOO story since their start up. I started a business at the same time. In fact I looked at their offices in the Northern Qtr before they got it so have followed and jumped on their success. They are going through a bad time at the moment that’s for sure but it’s a media circus to be fair and they are a family force to be reckoned with. Amazing. They will come out of this stronger. Sorry I’m not ramping BOO here. I know they’ve got a way to go...
I still have no idea why anyone who is not invested would come on to a BB and slate it with vigour. I barely have enough time to keep up with the stuff I do hold. Bizarre behaviour
Oh god Fig big lols. I was just about to say... h87 better be the nice version or there’ll be big trouble. Then I saw the post. Ha ha ha classic Hillman. Just the way I like him... insulting the baddies.
Like a flippin pantomime round here
Wish I was JB. Minted ;-£
Sadly I’m a hard working, dreamer. Backer of the underdog. Always an underdog. But massively underestimated. Not a pauper but definitely not a Princess.
I’m in for 700k shares avg at 14p but when it hits 14 it grows fast as I’ve seen a few weeks back and I’m long mostly. Will reduce at 32p, that’s my risk. I will add on dips but only from trade profit. Will be holding for gold at £1.64 for 2 years. And that pot is for an iccle place in Ibiza for my man & my 2 little people. Who are my foundations, my beacons & my saviours
