Aus, anyone with half a brain can see that BT will lose a percentage of their revenue to competition, but over time BT will also retrieve customers from Altnets should BT be allowed to aggressively compete on price once OFCOM takes the shackles off.
Something's you didn't mention in your post is the move to Passive Optical Networks, building closures, and convergence, all massively reducing BT's energy bill and leasing costs; Add to those staff and Capex reductions, and BT should grow the bottom line significantly over the coming years, even with big drops in revenue.
