I did my final purchase for this share now, brings me up to 9mil. I suspect that 23% spread, keeping bid stationary is to try and entice a few sells.

An empliyee incentive scheme is 100% not a dilution though. If you say it is then it is ignorant at best and scare mongering at worst. Considering general bejaviour on these boards, it isnt unreasonable for them to suspect the latter.

My take on final results rns is that we are due a wait. I will be pleasantly surprised if we have news within 2 months.

Agreed, trade prices have been around .76 all day, even when they opened up the spread. Probably .725 .8 is around the real spread, which is closer to 10%.

Betfair forever surprises! Budget was a good one for betfair, as they primarily run off the exchange. Bookmakers who are primarily fixed odds got a tax hike announced today, poor buggers!

I have been watching this stock, never invested, since the failed comms takeover bid. I am genuinely curious to hear the reasons people have held for so long? This isnt a flame, troll or deramp, just that reading rns alone 8 fail to see the attraction.

I would expect a jump to 1200 at q1 report, after that it will depend on trafing figures from the us.

I have to bow out guys. Life gets in the way, and of all my investments this one makes the most sense to sell. Not because it wont grow, it was probably the lowest risk of all, but simply because the others have the potential to grow massively. Betfair for me was always going to have a 1 to 2 year shelf life as an investment, the others probably 5 years or more. Maybe ill be back!

Quite comfortably. Someone has made a killing in the last 2 weeks on these shares by forcing price loe just before closing on the half days. Unless you need the money now, i would say remove that sell order and wait fpr next quarterly report. If last one was Nything to go by it will jump 50p minimum in one day, on top of a steady climb before then. As they say bad news travels fast. At the moment betfair is pure good news, so the share price is climbing very slowly but surely because the news is slow to travel. Next trade update will hammer the good news home, then you can sell if you need.

Sudden rush of automatic sells, all in the space of one minute, does look like it was deliberate to free up some trade volume. I wish i had spare funds, i would have bought some more shares in that window! Already back to opening price, is a good example of why i dont jave any automatic trade palns set though!!
