Roundtable Discussion; The Future of Mineral Sands. Watch the video here.
Was anyone on this today? No link on twitter yet. - not a great sign. If PL didn't say something in Q&A about Paraguay I'm a Dutchman
I don't agree nothing is priced in for Paraguay. Are you trying to tell me that an announcement stating that discussions with
the unknown NOC have broken down would not result in a fall in price? I remain confident on positive a outcome - rising oil price and a looming solution to CV-19 doesn't do any harm to these negotiations either
I agree with that. By just sticking to the first 2 in your list and doing them well there is plenty of scope for a material recovery in the share price
Meaningful update. Should be higher. You have to say that their hard work on gas infrastructure pipeline and processing now looks as smart a move as they clearly thought it was at the time. If it's not moving as you expect at least the buys might be soaking up the seller. Paraguay update pre Christmas anyone?
not sure it's on the short or medium radar and they have enough on trying to get a deal away in Paraguay. Perhaps worthy of a question to PL at next Q&A or email
Salta, Arg Puesto G, Deep gas
Brasso - I think everyone knows the back story on this stock. I think everyone knows that if you've been in the stock for a number of years you have probably taken a big bath. The question is does the current mcap of £31m represent value. I think it undoubtedly does.
On the basis that posts outweigh trades by three to one, the market doesn't seem as concerned as here
I'm happy with his reply. I'd have preferred a price of 1.5p but support the incentive provided. The video post does give a comic insight into PL. Truly great salesman; listening to his robust defence of the modest employees working tirelessly for a greater good you could be forgiven for thinking there could be a red cross Christmas appeal on its way.
Comeonvog - if you are emailing PL might you also ask him to comment on the JBER / IFC mystery
Your second one is a seductive question for suffering shareholders but surely one should only be concerned with what interest he has received in excess of what would have been levied on commercial terms by a third party. Whatever the total amount it must certainly be significantly less than his paper loss. The lion's share of his debt has now been converted and some repaid. Whatever charges you want to level at him (as I have done on a number of occasions) one thing you cannot say is that his interests are not aligned with the rest of us.
Some very interesting comments on Paraguay in today's interview. From memory he said probably not announcement before Christmas but he wouldn't rule that out, advanced stages i think he said 'not over 'til the fat lady sings' . He also said he wouldn't recommend people to invest purely on Paraguay. To me he is sounding more and more confident on doing a deal on Paraguay. I would suggest people listen to the interview (it's at the end prompted by a question what else can investors expect)
I don't think 'advanced talks' is reflected in the price. What price following confirmation of an agreement on farm in? It would shift PPC in terms of perception and attraction for investors.
grsshaw - Where are JBER now?
You have to admire Peter’s twitter post. Absolute belter
Most of those on the list are not II but nominee accounts for PI. Amazed anyone thinks Hargreaves Lan own 5% in their own name.
For the life of me I don't see why they announced on Paraguay. There was no obligation upon them to do so. They should announce when an agreement has been reached. Now if talks fail they either tell us that bad news thus further damaging their credibility. What is the benefit of revealing this rather than informing on any confirmation. Seems desperate or ill judged PR. .... and yes I certainly do want them to do the deal in Paraguay but question the wisdom of another "here's what you could've won" update
One shareholder is having a Lambo party and it ain't Northern Magic!
Anyone hazard a guess at how much interest has been paid out by PPC over the last 5 years. Then express that as a % of current mcap.
Rob Shepherd clearly not in possession of the midas touch when it comes to these presentations. Recall the price falling after his last attempt. I've not listened or watched BTW
