RE: As we were asked....19 Apr 2023 22:00
Hi Burnemc
Thanks for your very honest and pragmatic description re Clon and other shares, I, like most people who first enter the fray of share dealing have had my fingers burnt by going in all guns blazing without Due Diligence, im relatively new to investing having had my fingers burnt on AIM, the new approach is to do as much research as possible and not listen to ramping/deramping, one gets a nose for them after a while.
I've also learnt to diversify my portfolio, but mining/oil/gas are the mainstay, a couple of Pharma thrown in for good luck.
Like yourself, this one immediately caught my attention due to its fundamentals and its partner NexChem, what they are bringing to the table and the product, which at the current time is the most prized/talked about asset (lithium) since man first discovered oil, refining it to drive industry (and cars). Lithium is the new oil, for now at least, until Hydrogen or something else takes over, for the next three decades at least electric cars are the future.
This is what drew me and my buddy to Clon, they are ding something different to Prem and Kod, look at the ride they are on.
I cant believe we are the same age and own same no of shares, lol. Im 57 and own 28 million shares, i hope to retire at 60 also, but only if Clon or one of the others come in. We all do the X maths im sure. Clon is my biggest holding also, and the reason for that is because of what its engaged in.
My mate with 38million shares is all in with Clon, if it comes good he's looking at a couple of million i guess.
But, i do believe in following your gut instinct, and mine tells me this has legs, for the long term, not just short term. Whatever it reaches, 2/3/5p i will be happy with.
Im not ramping, if it goes belly up, im in deep doo da.
Please DYOR, good luck to all those invested, please keep up the good work supplying information on progress, apologies if i have gone off track.
