Senator respect your posts, but in this case you are probably wrong. Yes, we don’t know completely, unless you follow the trades directly on level 2 and get a hint of what market makers are selling, there is software available that if studied will give you a better idea of who is doing what.
This scenario is typical of a companies shareprice getting pushed down between news, Barclays have told you via a RNS what they are doing, my view they or their clients are selling short/hedging and the share is being played.
Expect more downward pressure today, this week,etc, via short selling, or if not that scenario, a large player is clearly selling the bid and in essence day trading, and accumulating later in the day.
I study the trades on shares I’m invested in, and this is being played, no question about it, and it’s so obvious with a poorly run company, that is experiencing problems, and creating an opportunity for traders.
You appear a good analyst of balance sheets, but your no trader.
