Sorry just checked on AVDN and guess who is top of the movers charts??Yep....QTI. Apologies, I guess I need to understand the changes.....have also just checked my account and it is actually i the blue!!!!!!! Waaaahaaaaaa......sorry forgive my uneducated rant and get up there QTI...do us proud!
Sorry but it is not 57% is it....you look at yesterdays close of .45 and todays open at .29 the 57% is over the opening price and not last nights close! If it had risen 57% over last nights close I would be celebrating!! I dont think it has moved at all today has it?
it is great to see at last...I thought we were down and out before. It would be good to see some news though justifying the increase....but am not one to knock it....just a bit more to get me over 30p and I will be a happy man!
Yes it is strange how a broker turns the stock into a buy and gives a target price of 500p and then it slides....ummmm market forces!
I wish I had been deterred away from it....alas I had a short period when I thought I knew what I was doing and bought these. Now sat on a big loss....very disappointing and frustrating...lack of info does not help....and neither does the poor sales! Anyway...nice to see the blue...that does make a change.
Here here sharebabe! This was my first share I bought into at 9p, so I am happy at moment, fundamentally a sound company that IMO has reached its low and the management is now moving forward with a clear direction, they are starting to clear their debt with the sale of Marie and further disposals to come. I suppose buying in at 26p could be deemed a risk now but this is a long term hold for me and could produce some excellent returns. But sat at 3 x sp I could sell for some fast return....wish all my picks were like this one!
This was posted on 2nd on same day as suspension! http://www.investegate.co.uk/Article.aspx?id=20090602075500P8057
How can you have a 150% spread for "goodness" sake????? The MM's are just taking the Mick!

That has allowed me some confidence when I see a buy of that magnitude, hopefully will stabilise the price. Which body marked this as a buy a few weeks ago at target of 500p was it Credit Suisse? I hope this is a good prediction...fed up of reds over this week!
I assumed that when you got the RI, they have "given us" the unpaid MECN rights, which we can sell at the going market rate ie....diddly squat....or = 0.04, or we can buy them at the RI price of 1.5p which then converts them into fully paid shares! Is this right? So the real question is do you bother or will the buy price, come the revolution, be lower than the 1.5p and therefore spread permitting you might as well buy in the open market!
On my HB account it has allocated a 1 for 1 share from FP. to FP.X, the SP pf FP. is 71.5 and FP.X is 70.69, I was requested to input a book cost for the stock which I put in 0.00 as I have not paid for these, yet the value is showing as no of shares times the 70.69. This has increased my portfolio value nicely but I cannot beleive the values here. What is going to be taken away???
On my account at HB it has given me the loads of shares but I have an edit button to input my own book cost...what is that? 0.001p or 0.0001p??? are we really talking in hundreths of a penny here????
If you read the RNS etc, this company is struggling! It is trying to refinance to keep going and I dont think that has been achieved yet, the shares are being revalued to a 10th of there previous value thus the huge drop. IMO we wait and see as there is another meeting on 25th June. There is more chat on iii....I will put it down to experience and not getting excited about energy and meters and doing more research in future! http://www.iii.co.uk/quotes/?searchterm=qti&type=quotes&it=le&it=li&it=lg&it=lb&it=leit&it=plus&it=ye&it=ne&it=ukut&it=ukpn&it=ukin&it=ukof&it=usi&option=%2Fquotes%2F&submitButtonName=Search
Whast confuses me is that it asks me to decide what to do with my shares as follows: CASH-OUT PROCEDURE: It is intended that Shareholders who are not US Persons and who hold 2,500 New Ordinary Shares or less at the Demerger Record Time and who would therefore receive 250 F&C Shares or less pursuant to the Demerger will not receive these F&C Shares unless they actively elect otherwise. Instead, the Company intends to appoint an agent or agents to sell these F&C Shares on such shareholders` behalf in the market and the relevant shareholders will receive the cash proceeds of such sale instead of F&C Shares. This is referred to as the Cash-out Procedure. The price at which such F&C Shares are sold will depend upon market conditions and the proceeds of sale may be less than the prevailing market price of the F&C Shares prior to the Demerger. There can be no guarantee of the time period within which the F&C Shares will be sold or that they will be able to be sold. The proceeds of sale are expected to be despatched within five business days after settlement of any sale. If no sale can be made then such Shareholders will receive the F&C Shares to which they would otherwise have been entitled as soon as practicable. Please note that the decision to keep your F&C shares or not does not affect your existing holding in Friends Provident.
No I jumped in here with high hopes and it has been down ever since....I guess I didnt do enough research and looking at the propspects which seem fair but then reading the egm notes it all seems very dire....for the SP to get back up to what I paid.......I have a long way to go! Not a wise investment me thinks! I dont mind holding for the long term but the reading of the egm was very depressing especially if they cannot get the finance they cant continue! THat is not good news in anyones mind!
This feels like a death rattle!!!
Shares in Cookson Group rise 8 percent to 239.75 pence as Goldman Sachs lifts its price target to 500 pence from 220 pence and reiterates its conviction 'buy' recommendation on the industrial materials firm. I just wish all my shares had statements like that connected to them!!!
I read it as that GAM have bought 6,000,000 shares raising their ownership to over 10% holding. Can only be seen as positive, shame it has a negative effect on SP though!
What is happening here?? I have held onto these for a few weeks from mid 60p and had nice increases, why are the MM's playing about with the spread so much?Share Price: 90.00 Bid: 85.50 Ask: 92.00 .......unusual, dont they want people buying these?
