As an investor I sure hope it will but I'm very sceptical. It has been for sale a few months and no one with serious money is valuing it over 5p. Yes we get some fake news come out and the gamblers nudge it up for a short while.
What worries me most is lack of appetite from CW board. If I was looking at a recession, no signs of revenue increasing and a debt I cannot service, why would they blanky refuse to sells parts of the business, they should be considering all options to stay afloat. In summary 1/2 odds.

I'm starting to build a small portfolio of Lithium / Battery stocks and all based in the US so far. Just found AL and will dip my toe given the current discount and the carrot for the new COO.
Does anyone know of any battery stocks in the UK they would recommend?

Makes sense. Streaming has become too expensive, increasingly pushes ads and poor content (take a look at the abundance of recent Mel Gibson and Bruce Willis drivel).
I've switched to illegal streaming service which can play multiple devices and has every channel for $70 a year, but still go to the cinema for the big films as home cinema can't match it.

Happy for it to creep up on no volume than down. Seems the mm's may have changed their view, who knows.

My girlfriend came up with this idea after failing to get hold of Peter Kay tickets. He sold out all his venues for 2023 and 24 in a matter of hours. Tickets started at £35 and ended with the VIP ones at £150 and people were even buying those.

The idea! Why don't Cine live stream the actual show in the same towns at the same time he is performing in the actual local arena. They could show this on all the screens and sell every seat. People would definitely pay for this as its the same show and could be sold once the arena itself has been sold out and it would be a better experience than sitting at the back of said arena.
Got to be profit in this and even if they broke even think of all the pop and snack sales. If anyone knows someone inside Cine they can have the idea for free :) Plus I would get to see Peter Kay at a reasonable price. I'm sure this could also work for other events / concerts.

I've been out of trainline for while a but thought I would get back in on the 10% rollercoaster that seems to be occurring. Good that you also feel they have long term upside.

I am pretty much retired and invest mainly in funds to return income and growth. I add to my isa each year which is where I play with individual stocks. Like most people I have no overall gain in 2022 unless santa has something up his sleeve :)
As a company director I have been completing self assessments for over 25 years and so very familiar with the process of paying tax on what I choose to declare. Unfortunately as I am now using my savings to generate income I feel less obliged to pay significant tax.
One thought I had was to claim a capital gain up to the allowance even though I haven't actually made one so can at least bank it for future gains. Obliviously upon investigation this would fall apart but if not investigated would make me feel better.

Thanks Jing, what about off setting losses from the previous year?

Are you able to use prior year CGT allowances if you haven't used them?

I haven't paid too much attention to the budget. Have they also messed with the dividend allowances and taxation of them?
