Just taken today's price and sold the lot at a slight profit. I will miss Lonrho though!

Just come in from tilling the fields. That's a big drop. Checked FastJet and it hasn't gone down so that can't be it. Hmm. Let's see what tomorrow brings.

Nice to see an upwards trajectory this morning. Worth taking a look at the 3-month graph.

Good point. At this time in its business history it would be in Lonrho's interests to get shot of FJ. Even if the airline goes on to great things, at the moment it's just gobbling up resources and messing up the share price.

Fastjet up 3.9%, Lonrho up 3.38% as I write. But it has been gently ticking upwards for a few weeks now. I should have bought some more at the bottom. Ah well, the long term African growth story carries on.

Yes, agree that some sort of bounce will happen in the not too distant future. It wil probably depend to some extent on the general direction of the market -- or if Emma Priestley uses some of her cash savings to buy up some stock. That would be the mother of all'buy' signals, wouldn't it?

Yes, odd that the share price has gone down with the news that Stelios is lending his expertise. Perhaps everyone has read Kibu's anaysis!

Absolutely right to stress the human side of this. Nevertheless, the company is going to look at the stats again. On the other hand, even if there is a positive effect, the trial suggests that the effect is weak at best. Difficult to see where they go after this setback. Best advice: don't buy any more until things become clearer.

It was a tough ask against Bayern Munich, one of the world's best football teams. Still the Gunners did better in the second half. Maybe Lonrho will as well.

Will the share price recover? You never know but at the moment it's anyone's guess. But as I pointed out in a previous post the shares were one time trading at around £3.50 when the company was investigating a hair loss solution. That too didn't work out, and led to the company becoming a penny share.

Absolutely agree that this is the year that Lonrho has to deliver. Otherwise the company will be analogous to Arsenal (for the record, the team I support; good luck tonight against Bayern Munich!) – how many excuses/explanations can be made to account for the hit and miss form, before people lose patience and ask for the manager's head.
