Yes, you can obtain a trial mining license (known in Brazil as a Guia de Utilização or GU) for gold and other minerals. This permit allows for the extraction and commercialization of mineral substances before a full mining concession is granted.

Key Requirements for a Trial Mining License (GU)

The GU is an exceptional permit issued by the Agência Nacional de Mineração (ANM) during the exploration phase.

Existing Exploration Permit: You must already hold a valid Exploration Permit (Autorização de Pesquisa) for the specific area.

Justification: You must demonstrate a technical or economic need to mine at a trial scale, such as for industrial testing, market analysis, or to help fund ongoing exploration.

Production Limits: GUs typically limit the amount of material that can be processed. For example, recent gold projects in Pará have been granted GUs for up to 50,000 to 100,000 tonnes of ore per year.

Environmental Licensing: Even with ANM approval, you must obtain an Environmental Operating License (Licença de Operação or GUOL) from the relevant state environmental agency (e.g., SEMAS in Pará) before activities begin.

Validity: Licenses are generally valid for 1 to 3 years and may be renewed at the discretion of the ANM.

Legal Eligibility

Entity Type: Licenses are only granted to Brazilian individuals or companies incorporated under Brazilian Law with their headquarters and administration in Brazil.

Foreign Investment: While the company must be Brazilian-registered, there are generally no strict limits on foreign investment/ownership, except in designated Border Areas (within 150km of the national border), where at least 51% of capital must be Brazilian-owned.

Anyway, I dont like talking about Serabi....

Was buying first half of 2022, then I decided in the summer to move the money (what I thought short term) to what is now Imara gold as they were mining and just announced discovery of high grade. This ended up bullkakka and now the shares have been suspended for 2 years with that money still tied up. If I had held Serabi it would have been over a 10 bagger by now..

Serabi were running on a trial license for years and made good profit before full license was issued.

They did say results expected in February for Paraniata therefore this has not met their expectations. However, no doubt the results will be here soon.

I wonder if they are trying to tie up the deal to gain 51% of project before releasing results. Perhaps this is the hold up (pure speculation on my part) but if results were good, I'd want to make sure of a controlling interest before publishing.

Out of interest I just had a quick look at Galantis.. £160mil market cap and I've no idea whats making up that valuation, no production yet and resource estimates not huge..

Looking forward to results from Paranaita.. However, we are also 2 weeks into drilling Molly, with 3no rigs. Therefore, utilizing all 3 rigs at once, the initial 900m might already be cored.. They were planning the initial 900m at Molly then finalising the remaining 1100m drill programme.

Paraniaita full assays due, with first hole already "First assay results from drill programme returned grades of up to 3.1g/t over 16.2m".

Banza agreed, I've had a few stocks with African based projects over the years and been burnt.. Straight into the No pile for me.. Why risk it when there are other opportunities..

I agree Hubstar... Price action has been so strong the past week, this on the back of a placing, warrants and no official news.. YET..

The price is not even down today.. It opened at 3p because of a £125 UT trade after hours, therefore the marked drop is suspect.

Maybe we close flat today at 3p.. ;-)

I reckon (my theiry) the owners of land wanted to kepp it but couldnt afford to drill it out.. They might know of Paulo, trust him, know how much knowledge he has and therefore decided to partner with Jangada (Paulo) knowing hes the best person to return value for them..

The company has been drilling in am area, directed by the vastly exoerienced Paulo that previously recored..

TP02 contains 199,090t @ 16.65 g/t Au for 106,600 oz Au

16.65 g/t from surface is mega, so if we have more of that then we will be flying in a Portuguese boat..

I agree Paulo is an honest hard working man who knows what hes talking about.. If he's excited and talking about new discoveries then we should all be very pleased..

He mentions Para state which is where Paranaita is, therefore i believe hes refering to that project imo.. I wonder what it is, new discovery in undrilled area or something deeper than has been drilled before.. Or a step out.. Who knows but looking forward to finding out.. :-)

I know its about market cap must be the way I wrote the post, just making a comparison.. JAN double share in issue to OMI, so to get to same market cap, half the price.. Comparible to their recent high of 39p that would be 19.5p for JAN...

I don't see exercise of warrants at 2.25p as a negative. It would provide funds and underpin the SP at a higher level.

No idea what share price will be in 6 months but very good chance 5-10p.. IMO

JAN have double shares in issue than OMI, so on that basis alone we could arguably say half of their 39p high akka 19.5p.. However, we already have as much confirmed gold as OMI and our prospects are better located near roads etc..

Who knows, but assuming results good to fantastic at Paraniata and Molly, then we will be rising fast in short/medium term.

Currently 2.3-2.4p, the new Warrants will be in play soon.

Within the Paraniata section of the new presentation, its states the following.

"Anticipate publishing PEA for 20,000 oz Au pa open pit operation to be H2 2026"

That would be incredibly, to have a path to 20,000 oz AU pa set out this year.

I bought in here at 1.09p looking to double my money in short order due to the small market cap and potential at Paraniata.

However I can sense I might become a bag holder here and hang about until 5p+.

Just too much going on and potential for development in relatively short timescales.
