I'm leaning towards Edzi on this one. I've been seeing all the massive hype about Hole 18, and at the time I was thinking to myself that people really shouldn't be bigging it up too much, as you either a) possibly achieve expectations (although very slim chance), or b) you just knock the wind out of investors, and yourself.
I agree that people can and should dream, but surely rather than saying "Hole 18 is going to take us to the moon" or words to that effect, it should be "I'd love to see it return grade of 4%, as I think that would get us back to where we should be".
People are talking about unpredictable outcomes like they are fact, and that's when it's classed as unnecessary ramping. By all means, if we do hit a 4% grade then shout from the rooftops. I certainly will be if that happens.
