Wood Group sp hit hard by (1) concerns over Amec merger.....(2) anti sector sentiment which hit E&P less activity in the O&G market. Still working its way thro the issues but will come good
President Group: E&P minnow thumped by Argentinian association....founder is serial E&P entrepreneur and aware of shareholders concerns
Genel: undervalued, well run, cash generative E&P stock in stable-ish part of world

….remember chaps that the sp was this price in January, and was in the 20s and 30s within last 3 years. travesty of valuation so lets hope our lumbering board can salvage their reputation with something approaching the price the sp was at when a lot of us bought in

Am surprised that this far into the due diligence process we haven't seen a better reaction from the sp. This is supposedly an attractive asset collection and yet the sp is still tracking lower (notwithstanding market maker shenanigans).

Just what it says on the tin that the company has received an indicative offer and is viewed as being in a bid situation hence the Form 8.3 s

I sympathise with the comments around Clarke and his crew just downing tools -they need to continue to do the day job but this aint happening and I think we are all fed up with a management team that just cant deliver operationally. ONGC are the cause of much misery so one hopes that Oxy or another major player takes that CPO stake to play the Indians at their own game.

it would be a triumph of self-restraint if management's behind-doors presentations to prospective investors aren't reflected in the sp. Trying to keep that info quiet will be tough, so we may well see sp start to gyrate more in the next few weeks.

Let's hope out chaps are better at playing poker than they are at running an E&P business.....

Having opened the books to potential suitors who have all signed confidentiality agreements, what happens I wonder if they all just walk away. Normally they'd be barred from coming back with an offer for 6 months because of access to commercially sensistive info. SP hangs around this level or below, ONGC refuse to move forward on Indico, and lo a low ball bid comes in with our boys desperate to exit as they have done SFA on the drilling front...
