Think of QDs as fingerprints or a snowflake - each one of them is unique. So if that results in a product application which makes enterprise data platforms secure then it will be very big business indeed - truly global and much bigger than display, solar, medical etc... It could happen v. quickly too.

There is a lot they could say about the reasons for the delay without breaking commercial confidences and if they do not even attempt to add plenty of colour to what we know then I for one will be very unimpressed . The email to Qualia is insufficient and will be taken (by me) to be a sign of obfuscation and poor management. The jury is out as far as I am concerned but I really really do want this to happen.
