Hi Jolly, Not familiar with Bergin but I do know Darwin and another name you can have for free is Lanstead. I would run a mile if Darwin came here were I a holder. For absolute gamblers this one, at this point is gravy. 5p has been support before and there is good and quickish upside if bottom feeders/contracts arrive. However any move below 5p means a resumption of its death spiral. I suspect that if LTH throw in the towel now and exit at any price this has had it. I wonder what the trustees of that director share transfer on 21st Dec 2015 of 2.181m shares worth £196,300 on paper to sell and now less than three months later is worth £109,100. Ouch!

Adastra your faith is admirable but only lack of liquidity to exit is saving this. A net difference of £1000 in sales over buys has sent this down 16% today.I wonder if a dummy sell is possible or would your broker have to go to the market? Personally I think we will have rupture by the month's end. Dibs61 has made the point that any contract will have long lead in times and I agree. I personally question whether this should be even be listed.

32.5p mid price on 9th Mar 2015 and now 5.25p. 85% of its value gone in a year. MCAP is £3.74M. If 5p doesn't provide support then we must be nearing the endgame. Would the board dare try a placing at 3p? Might as well put the whole thing up for sale and see if a bidder emerges, Not looking good despite a very benign macro environment of cyber crime.!

Given that the SP was 21.5p mid-price at the time of the Feb 15th 2016 I"in a sweet spot" interview and is now 13.125p, I hope Malcolm can tell me when the company is in a sticky spot. It will be the biggest buy signal ever.

this is off-colour? Seems like although the news flow has been pretty positive that investors are out of this like **** through a goose! Is there no bottom here? Clearly must be if I am right about the goose. Looks an interesting play but I can't see the floor. I have been tracking these down from 98p and they remain on my watchlist.

As I understand it this means it will not blog the statements by correcting Rns's in the event that the forward looking statements are proved not to be valid forecasts. So it speaks of forward statements only and not any material news that would shift the SP. I joined the party yesterday and think the fall is way overdone. I am looking for a bounce to 150p before we head to 200p again.

The board are as shocked as I am with the extent of the fall. There were some prickly questions about the SBP and the extent to which the Board knew of slowing growth but I felt the answers were satisfactory. Criticisms of the SBP were/are looking to have their cake and eat it in my view. They were performance linked and I can see no evidence the board pumped the price. In fact they could have just sat on their options but by stepping into the marker they showed their faith in the SP. They also said they didn't sell any shares despite the drop. Good enough for me and I think this was just a bump in the road.

Shocking update. One of the worst I have seen from any company for a while! I thought that this company was interesting at £2.83 and had high hopes for the website but it is in a death spiral. Even the purchase of Mallett which was good on paper has only led to more destruction of shareholder value. In terms of how to run a company into the ground Stanley Gibbon's board sure are a collector's item! Beyond redemption

although there was a recovery of sorts intraday. Fairly well funded after the placing and bond even if the coupon of 7% is a bit steep. Nice convert price of 222p in 2019. Might be worth watching as Cote d'ivoire Ghana and Indonesia contract and United Cacao becomes the largest corporate cacao estate. Looks fully funded through to late 2018 so this may well be the low.

Actually they should but I suppose it is easier for newspapers etc to just guess by using the mid-point as a reference. There is a petition on here and the other place a.d.v.f.n without the dots to make a law to enforce reporting buys and sells correctly. There are occasions where the MM's or buyer/seller can request a delay in the reporting of a trade. So the answer to why is expediency but also there are some circumstances in which a large buyer or seller does not wish it to be know that they have sold. You should use the Daily Mail or similar site for quick reporting of trades as I think the ones here are on delay.

on no trades. Might be a large buy to come on a delayed reported trade. Or a buyer in the background? I would love some news as January last year was bountiful in the extreme in terms of news flows.

Hi email. You asked how to know buy and sells.. All the sites I know and use take the midpoint as the determiner. So if a share is 48p/50p bid/ask then 49 will be ?. 49.1p will be listed as a 'buy' when it could be a sell and 48.91p will be listed as a sell when it could in fact be a buy. The market spread might just be notional and the real spread 48.2p/48.9p. So how to know? Well there are a few routes. If you see a few trades at 48.9 and a few at 48.2 then you can be almost sure those at 48.9 listed as sells as they are under 49p are actually buys. If you have a dealing account then you can do dummy buys to get the real buy price. Once again if you get a quote of 48.7 or 48.8 etc those trades will be listed as sells but you can see they are buys. It becomes tricky when you don't hold a stock to ascertain the sell price. My broker doesn't allow dummy sell trades but sometimes posters here will post them occasionally. Otherwise you get the buy price and work backwards from there.

I respectfully disagree Acaster. For starters, even if this was taken out given the SP is under 6p you would be lucky to get 8 or 9p. Placees at 22p and 14p have already been burned. Even if they want to take over the company the could just sell down their holding in this illiquid share and pick it up even cheaper. A £3000 sale Friday sent this into its death spiral again. This is heading back to 5p for sure or dare I say 4p. Talk about a takeover is clutching at very large straw. I don't believe it is funded into break-even. Unless it can get some contracts out quickly to puff up the SP then surely it could never do a placing at this level. Incidentally where are the director buys? Have they given up the ghost too and happy to plod along with their salaries? Beyond terrible!

Surprised to see this go under 40p. I reckon this must be the floor unless there is bad news in offing. It has been a bit painful for me to see the foundations laid, the price go up but was unaware that 59p was the roof. Is 39.5p bargain basement or a structurally unsound investment?

Getting better. Back over 9p now as buyers force this up. Obviously profit takers will limit any rise eventually but surely this has legs from here.

I think that might work Adastra if Flx was on its way to washing its own face. But it is burning cash and not declaring the signing of deferred contracts. Say your scenario did happen anyway, how much would FLX need given it is loss making. how would 10 to 20% of FLX with its MCAP of £4.89m be enough to carry it through to break-even? If you were in Cohort's shoes how much would you be willing to pay per share for a minority stake in FLX?

Dibs , who on earth would support a placing here? If the current price holds then a placing would have too be at 2 or 3p at best. The 22p and 14p places need huge rises to stand still. The spread has always been a joke here and bore no relation to the actual spread. they need to fess up soon as they may have run out of cash by the end of next month if I remember correctly. There are so many expressions here of what a good arena the company is in but the SP performance tells its own story. Waiting for a recovery that is never coming. Barclays transfer of 2.182,000 shares to his trust on 21st Dec 2015 would have fetched £196425 on that day. Today even if the Trust could get the official bid on such an illiquid share it would get £109125. Almost halved in 6 weeks.

of 10,000 shares. A not insignificant outlay of £155,000 pounds with the shares not far off all time highs and markets very soggy! Looks like there is significant upside to come with this company.
