I often choose Ibis Styles or Leonardo or Motel One or StayCity all above Premier Inn as they all offer a better experience at similar price levels and better decor, better food, locations just as good, friendly happy staff generally unlike the dour Purple Brigade.

Germany has been an unmitigated disaster and has got the backs up of Motel One and B&B who are now responding by opening hotels in the UK and adding more competition to Premier Inn. Allison Brittain started the rot and its getting worse under the new bloke

Comparing M&B with WTB is a bit misleading. M&B don't have 90,000+ bedrooms to fill every night. M&B also aren't wasting over £1Bn pounds in Germany.
