Roundtable Discussion; The Future of Mineral Sands. Watch the video here.
Listen to Andrew Bailey's dissitation earlier this week. NO reduction in rates anytime soon, he also has never seen the UK economy is such a poor state. Mind he is partially responsible. Don;t expect a friendly response from Funders. MARS has a poor track record having breached loan agreements twice. Many companys have hedged energy prices, MAB included, it is food and staffing costs that are hurting, hence margins being chopped, something I warned months ago.
The best result here is a TO. The brewery is controlled by Carlsberg who have a record of controlling partners. In our case they (Carlsberg) will determine who manages the Pub Estate.
Bad news coming? Judging by MAB results sales increases of 10% + are not off-setting large input increases. At least MAB have reduced debt by £20m. Lets see how MARS fairs?
The sudden departure of Andeas gives the clue.
Itsawap, could'nt agree more. The shenanhigans Directors are allowed to get away with is almost criminal. AIM co's are a feeding ground for many sharks who pretend to safeguard Shareholders funds. What nonsense when Directors award themselves eyewatering remunerations, when Share prices disolve.
The way PI's are being treated here, and elsewhere, demands stronger regulation, unlikely to happen under the current administration, who pride themselves on attracting new capital.
Not sure they are working their backside off!! Shell as operator will be planning the drills.
It takes very little to update PI's on events. Do wonder if MS and RS are treated with such disdain?
Do'nt forget the event tomorrow(Thursday) evening where EOG and I3e are both presenting. Maybe WH will pull the proverbial rabbit and surprise us all. We can but hope.
I beleive a Planning Application can be submitted without all required reports, which will be submitted later. The application can then be registered, giving the LPA the required timescale to determine. The Ecological report should not take long to prepare.
Back to nominee accounts, the rules of which being imposed here, are totally bizarre. Any BOD which uses such disgracefull tactics are not worthy of managing ANY company. Shareholders need to remember Corporate Notices are issued by Brokers to Bona Fide Shareholders ( in essence Owners of a Company) WH and Co are digging a deeper and deeper grave for themselves. Is it possible they could be barred from Directorships in the UK?
Is it appropriate to request Paper Certificates from the company's registrar? This could be an answer even though certificates could be delayed. Worth investigating?
It sure is. Try getting a guarantee from a Broker that shares you hold in Trustee a/c are not loaned.
Successive Governments have promised to regulate Shorting. None have yet which suits some investors.
The BOD's defence raises another important topic. How many Shareholders ( in any company) realise shares held in Trustee accounts , can and are loaned to Shorters?
There is something grossly wrong with the BOD's denying an EGM. On one hand they accept votes through nominee accounts as presented at the AGM, now they claim bona fide Members are not real shareholders. It may be a technicality which displays how desparate WH and cohorts have become. How on earth can they be allowed to continue managing a company in which they only look to feathering their own nests.
Dear me, Treasures are you a shareholder and content with how the company is being managed, remunerations and all?
If as you believe, it is case of sour grapes, please give us the evidence?
It should be remembered the 2 former directors were Founders of the Company. Seeing the continueing decline in shareholder value, is hard, virtually impossible, for any Investor to stomach, which makes one wonder why WA is not demanding a root and branch restructuring of EOG's management and action on developement that will regain the huge loss in shareholder value. It is clear WH is thinking of himself, it is a charade to claim otherwise. We must hope the deficiency within the GM application can be quickly rectified to enable a meeting to be held quickly.
Aim.....I tend to agree for the greater part, however I like to put a positive angle in that the EGM will demonstrate an overwhelming shareholder revolt that demands change. It is ludicrous that WH considers replacing 2 resinged Directors with another pair of Lord knows who. WH is playing a cynical and dangerous game which must end with his departure.
Gatafgrip is it reasonable to claim prospects have gone through the roof, with the largest gas discovery in NS in 10 years, and yet the SP has meandred downwards?
It is significant Licence awards for the current round have been made to 2/3 Majors, on the basis production/supply can be achieved quickly. It is fair to assume Shell have been busy lobbying NSTA and Government generally and yet pensacola is'nt being mentioned. Puzzling?
If you have'nt done so, suggest you contact Paul and join the group who are seeking to make changes with the way the company is managed and it's future trajectory.
Aim.... are you a shareholder?
So many if's and but's. Will Hooland does not command the respect of shareholders so how does that affect the thinking of potential partners. All very fine coming up with wishful rhetoric, which means nothing until those words are translated into posititive actions that genuinely grow Shareholder value. Something WH and friends appear to have sight of during the last couple of years.
Will Serenity happen...doubtful, the senior partner has problems of it's own.
Using income from Wressle to benefit Directors is almost corporate theft when PI's are seeing share value decreasing by the day.
DP, how long can Blind Faith continue?
Without seeing the full minutes, it would appear ludicrous to maintain the high number of Board members that WH intends. Conclusion, they (BOD) are bleeding the company dry, and do not care a stuff for Ordinary PI's.
WH knew the way the wind was blowing hence the RNS yesterday withdrawing propositions, but then was determined to stamp his authority.
Is WH fit to be CEO???
Delt should have a head start on JOG, having, with partner Shell, discovered the largest Gas Field in the Southern North Sea in over 10 years. The energy security the UK is begiing to realise essential, makes one wonder why we are not getting updates from the BOD, but then historically the CEO has a poor record when it comes to keeping ordinary PI's informed. Is MS treated with such disdain??
SC it is a "New Broom", which when considering your praise of the Former CEO, was needed many months ago.
Any merger/takeover will need the blessing of Carlsberg. The Brewery JV has explicit conditions, in Carlsberg's favour, that must be approved should Marstons sell out.
