People people on this board seem perplexed by the drop in sp after the positive RNS. As expected the price jumped up on opening. Dropped back a bit and then ran level, until about 1pm. Then it dropped, along with Ceres, Bloom, H Power and the ftse 250 all showing the same pattern. Whatever the trigger it wasn't to do with ITM.

Is the hydrogen that's going to be produced for this proposed Humber Hydrogen project blue in colour. If so it makes zero sense.

The Fool articles always seem to miss out key facts or context. It's almost as though they always pitch it so that the opinion they give is neutral. In this case no reference to the 200 odd million sitting in the bank. This gives ITM a huge runway at the current rate of loses and means they can be highly competitive with pricing, undercutting their debt ridden competitors. And it allows bold initiatives, such as HydroPulse which have upfront costs. Interesting but take with a pinch of salt.

The article focuses particularly on graphite. A puzzle to me since graphite from methane pyrolysis will soon be available in huge quantities.

Wow. Just watched the video - S Crofty in 1995. The skill level of those guys, passed on from generation to generation. Old hands training up new guys, and the culture that drives people to work that hard in those harsh conditions. Can that just be restarted after a 30 year break! I'm concerned that the loss of knowledge will be a major obstacle to the smooth and efficient running of an all new S Crofty and will take years to build up. It makes me wonder if the financial projections will prove to be accurate.

i've just answered my own question. about 70% of anto***astas output doesn't rely on acid leaching so looks like they won't be badly effected by a severe shortage of h2so4.

I'm thinking of buying back in to this stock as I think that copper prices will continue to rise. My concern is wether the availability and price of sulphuric acid in the short and medium term is likely to be a problem for Jubilee. Thoughts? Thanks

From the article it's not entirely clear if households will pay less for the power that they will be encouraged to use when a surplus is predicted to be likely. The approach I'd like to see would be exposure of consumers to the live whole sale price (adjusted to account for the suppliers margin) and let people, or smart devices, decide how much power to use. I think many consumers would modify their usage when they see the wild fluctuations in prices that regularly occur. Maybe a voluntary tariff for those that don't mind sitting in the dark when it's £10/KWhr and switching everything on when the price is below zero! But sure, some big electrolyzers hung on the system to use surplus is a no brainer - how else to produce the hydrogen needed by industry and for synthetic fuel. Great to see ITM finally getting the recognition, and the sp, it deserves.

I agree that making green H2 on site makes the most sense in most cases. I also fear that the primary reason for the pipeline is to enable the supply of mainly blue hydrogen with the resulting CO2 to be stuffed into disused gas fields off the NE coast. Fossil fooled indeed. Bilbo's point about pipelines effectively providing a degree of storage is worth noting.

In 10 years time oil demand will be somewhat less but oil production capacity will be considerably more. That translates into big reduction in oil prices. Demand will continue to decline in subsequent decades imo. To paraphrase the IEA "if the world limits global warming to 1.5C then no new oil and gas fields are required. Demand is expected to peak by 2030."

Exactly, that's my time frame. In "decades" the demand for oil and gas for fuel will be a fraction of what it is now and with all the investment in new fields and infrastructure there'll be massive over production, imo!

Why would anyone invest in an oil company startup at this time. By the time this resource comes on stream global oil demand will have collapsed. The world will be awash with oil and gas and the only producers able to stay in business will be those with the lowest extraction and distribution costs 🤷

Al this talk about TUN been "leaky" because it rose so much before the rns. With the huge recient rise in the price of tungsten plus it's designation as a critical material and a persistent global shortfall in supply all stocks with exposure to tungsten were rising. The rns simply showed how that would impact TUN's margins, which was entirely predictable imo.

It looked to me like the sp was bouncing of 320 with probable automatic sells at that level. It was always a question of whether it would break through or whether traders would loose hope of a further rise and go for taking profit. Anyway that's my take. Will probably bounce up tomorrow. Not an issue for long-term holders.

Hi. I'm new here, 1st post on this forum. Epp is a company that hopes to do the kind of thing that I'm interested in - addressing climate change - but I haven't as yet invested. I'm interested to know what others on here think. In particular how is epp going to finance this amazing sounding project. It doesn't look to me like they have the necessary resources.
