Scott, totally agree. Anyone buying needs to do their own research and accept the risks involved.
Without going in to the figures, I have received half of whatever I purchased in March 2020 at £2 back in dividends, I’m also due to receive RASP (as it stands, things could change) so I decided to take on more risk over the last few trading days and again at 1.04 today.
Steveyc, very generous of you to free up your previous time to come here and advise people to sell. I have just logged on to my account and will sell every share just because of you post. Amazing man! No personal agenda at all.
Let’s hope this bounces back soon. I have been averaging down for the last 2 trading days. The future payouts will be monstrous for me
Yes, the same. Approx 37p should somewhat de-risk the latest buys.
Was comfortable and happy holding the shares I picked up in March 2020 for an average of £2. Between Friday and today, I’ve nearly quadrupled that holding. Squeaky bum time.
Hello. I’ve always received the dividend in Sterling. Although it should be in gold bars
Followed up my buy from yesterday morning at 1.85 with another at 1.72 in the afternoon.
Hi bullroot, welcome aboard. If you qualify then the shares will be sold on your behalf and you will receive the ££ later this year, however as per the RNS - “Evraz is expected to trade ex-entitlement to the distribution on 14 February 2022” so you may not qualify.
Glad you pointed out that it took 2 days for the trade to settle. Not many realise there is a t+2 settlement time.
£4 max this year I think. View is based on EVR holding steady at £6 for several months prior to demerger and Russia/Ukraine conflict minus the RASP demerger dividend.
Thank you. Managed a small top up at 19.53
Looking to increase my holding here, if I buy today will the shares be settled In time for me to receive the next dividend.
StockReady - Welcome to the board. Nice to see so many new posters here. A few years ago it was just myself GarethBrierley and Gavster. Why do you think we should run?
Well done to everyone brave enough to buy last week when this was between £4.20-£4.40.
The current SP is £3.29 and the cash equivalent of RASP you will receive (based on todays RASP sp) is £1.91.
=£5.20
The SP will only grow from here as the world needs EVRAZ steel and lots of dividends to come. GLA.
BlueBiscuit.
Just trying to make sense of the apparent rise.
Last week the SP fell to £4.15. If you purchased at £4.15 you’d also receive RASP shares worth £1.86, hence the cost to you would be £2.29. Today the shares would cost you £3.15 and no entitlement to RASP shares. That’s a rise of £0.86.
Any other views?
Yes. That also applies to dividend payments. You can read more about it here: https://www.schwab.com/resource-center/insights/content/stock-settlement-why-you-need-to-understand-t2-timeline
Due to the trade settlement time, usually 2 days, anything purchased today will not entitle you to RASP shares or the cash equivalent.
Shuz - no problem buying with iWeb or H&L.
GT - you are doing well! I didn’t start investing until mid-20s. Keep your chin up. Evraz is a strong company with a strong annual dividend, it will pay itself back over and over.
Always carry out thorough research before investing and avoid being influenced by these boards. Everyone will put their own interests first, like some calling for £2.30 by Monday. Good luck.
The price for each BHP share on NYSE is now $57.80 which works out at £43 but I just realised it will be the ASX listed shares we will receive if BHP delist, not the NYSE.
That’s about £40 a share. Are we due to receive 1 for 1 if the delisting goes ahead?
MJ72, don’t turn to these boards for advice. Read the rns and look at the company annual statements and make your decision based on that.
