They will recover all the costs that the insurers are willing to pay. -- is another way of saying it. ie that they/we are at the mercy of the insurance company that has a duty to its own shareholders to limit their liability. We will just have to wait for the outcome. 36-2 or 36-2A will go into production at some point. Price looks attractive for anyone prepared to wait a few months.

I expect that they will be directed by the insurers---they will want to explore all options for the most suitable result from their perspective which takes time. Also a rig and a crew will be required and maybe planning permission ( not sure tbh what permissions they already have). There's not much left of this year to organise all of that.

As feared when the news of the blowout arrived months ago, 36-2 is broken and my guess is that it is best left under a controlled condition without spending good money after bad until they plug it and drill another well next year. Keep the income coming in, spend nothing and accumulate the funds for a new well and in the meantime squeeze the insurers for as much as possible. Note, there is no information about the amount of pipe left down the hole or progress, probably makes no difference if the well cannot be considered as suitable to manage the high pressures evident due to the damage. They may be able to salvage the shallow section if the integrity of the casing there remains acceptable to the experts and the insurance Co. The background development of the company. extra acres and participation in new wells is encouraging. Not sure I'll live long enough to see it out though.

Drilling is normally done in 2 shifts 24hrs a day, nothing special about it I'm sorry to say.

The timing of the planned development and any new drills will be a key factor for me and probably many others.

Dai2. Good luck here if you are looking in, hopefully there won't be too much gas on the way down contrary to what others may think. Hopefully there will be a nice thick sealed trap, a couple of kms across with all that gas kept under tight control.

Adon. Could you clear up any confusion over which dominion pipeline is now ready to take gas please. Do Zphr still require a couple of miles of pipe to connect 16-2 to a Dominion line, plus a water supply to dilute the salt or do they just need the water supply and a short pipe to tie-in to Dominion---or has todays annie got little to do with 16-2 and is more about Zphr being able to tie in at 36-2 and get the gas away via Dominion. I thought the latter but folk are talking about testing 16-2 so now I don't know. I had put 16-2 way out to pasture in the long field for a couple of years or more until they had monetised 36 and maybe drilled a further well from the same or nearby pad. Hey--maybe I should just wait for the update :) atb

With the time taken, plug and sidetrack around the debris and damaged well might have been more economical/beneficial.

Folk still unable to grasp that this guy has been working for HE1 since 2022, its not another person, its just that he has wangled a position on the board.
