The stuff coming out is the tubing. The debris comes out later. The stuff they are taking out and cutting to pieces is the stuff they spent time on cleaning up with the CTU--that's why I said a few days ago that it was a pity that it now has to come out as it was a waste of effort and cost. You cannot say anything about the wellbore. There is still about 2 miles of tubing to remove yet and then go back in with 2 miles of drill pipe. Anyhow, who cares, they are 'doing something' at last.

Next would be to lay out the drill pipe, measure it all, chuck a clean up bit on the end, run it in and start the clean up--time will depend on compression of solids and what else they may find. e.g an old lada niva gearbox or something. I cant see any mud system from the vids but would expect there to be a need for fluids to bring the rubbish back to surface and to prevent the drill getting jammed. Don't hold me to it but another 3-5 days to clean up and bring all the returns to the surface. 10-14 might see some oil seeping out. Here's being positive and to a large extent just guessing. These guys have to do most operations manually and there could be any number of problems along the way. but for once, we may even get it all right with some good fortune to boot.

3 days to remove it--at an approx estimate. Lets see how it pans out.

Sarge, I mentioned a that they would need to check the new equipment, measure everything and familiarise themselves. Site set up is another thing and they will want to test the rig and the bop, delivery pipework etc all of which takes time. We (offshore) had two of everything in case something went down. I'm not sure they have the same onshore, but if so there are two sets of gear to check. You are right about the various interconnecting pipework for hooking up production, it was something I mentioned about z21 in an earlier post as I was unsure whether it was included in the distribution system, especially as it had not been producing previously (other than the initial mad spurt of 500bbls a day). Good to see things moving again, we should be getting another rig in the near future which could be used on 28 or 4 depending upon delivery and completion dates for Z21 etc. Z4 would be my choice but what does any of us know about it after all. My post yesterday was a bit of a mess, in a hurry, using a phone at a service station, it made no sense at all lol. Game is still potentially on for April all going well.

They do not have another rig, therefore the plan is to go across to 28 after 21, unless the new righ. Urgently on order shows up at the end of April as p,annex and they use that, but I would expect them to stick with the one they know and love for 28, same crew, same equipment....makes life more reliable. Anyhow, signing off for a few hours.

We know that z28 will follow after 21, I doubt there is going to be an early surprise.

Job. There is no 'more' to clean out than we were already told. The only thing is, it may stretch beyond the end of the month if they hit any problems. If it goes to plan then they should have to tubing out by about the weekend and running the drill pipe thereabouts. Then a few days of clean up and circulating bottoms up to get the junk out, say 2 weeks from now, and then tubing, completion and see what it does. Could still be in for the end of April. At a guess, they have been checking, measuring, testing and familiarising themselves with the new equipment and going over the rig after refurb. Anyhow, I am happy with the update, funny how it seems to follow my post from a couple of days ago and has answered all of the questions. :).

I have to confess to selling a few at a loss recently but still have about 750k at about 10p, (about, because they are across different accounts and I cant be bother totting it all up exactly). ATB

Now, whatever happened to the new A100 workover rig that is being built nearby and Zen engineers are inspecting every two weeks that is due for delivery this month? Any news or reports on progress? The workover of Z28 was due to be complete within a month at the beginning of Sept 2017. It would not surprise me to find it having its first birthday before it produces--which--providing other things are happening to compensate would be sort of acceptable. What happened to team 'A' ? , team 'B', CTU team etc and where is the neutron Log hiding? We appear to have just one team operating at the moment which is a worry, especially as we have a truck load of directors, engineers, managers and others to keep fed. What happened to the low cost continuous marginal well interventions? How many were there? 20 odd? and the three wells that were mentioned that had been identified for work over that would be on-going until March 2018?, what were the three wells that Malcy spoke about? were they the 3 wells mentioned above? or were they just noise from the radio? No news would suggest that they were not a success or never happened. What about the hydraulic one-man operated un-proven new rig ? are we still determined to pursue that folly? Hopefully it will be free of charge until proven successful.--The 'favourable' terms have yet to be announced. Where are the plans and program for new drilling activity that was supposed to be going ahead in 2018? How are we getting on with the production license in Italy and the doubling of gas production due for mid-year as a result? I think that we are due for a right-good, come clean update on all fronts. Mudstud, if you are reading and manage to get across the plains of Azer over the weekend, take it easy mate, don't get arrested. Maybe you could sort out a few loaves to go with the fish that you catch and then perform a miracle or two for us at 21, 28 and 4. That's it for today--you will all be pleased to hear.

Maybe due diligence expenses for the Spring Sales over in Indonesia? . Whatever it is, it is better than getting one of the death spiral sharks involved.

The good news.:- The pressure at the well head was unexpectedly high. The pressure was periodically 'let down' by opening the surface valve and flowing the oil into some sort of containment. The pressure recovered after a (fairly long) period of time but was seen to be higher at the next reading. The recovery period appeared to be reducing ( I cant be 100% certain on that) which is good indeed. They cleaned up the tubing successfully without any problems. Not so good news: The cleaned up tubing has to be removed.--pity The bottom hole section of casing has to be cleaned up and debris removed. time/cost/risk Completion tubing has to be re-run back into the well. time/cost/risk Well has to be controlled during this period to prevent any 'kick' 'blowout' or broken 'stuff' getting jammed into anything. Standard stuff anyway but still a possibility. Company has lost credibility and gone into radio silence causing frustration and doubt. hmmm--bit of an issue with all of us. Slightly better news; None of the above is particularly difficult now that the actual well characteristics, depth, casing depth, liner etc etc are known by the operations team. Anyhow, none of us really have a bl**min clue other than the mudstud who has been for a drive by and kindly informed us of the state of play. Maybe time for another round trip to see if they have pitched up yet?--maybe at the weekend?? :)

Muddy I'm with you on that one. No news = nothing going on. There would be a tweet at least. Maybe there is not enough kit for production/storage :) Like a 50000 barrel storage tank or an 8'' pipeline to handle the flow rates. Ahem, wishful thinking.

Agree aj, if it were as simple as producing a thousand a day, it would not be for sale for anywhere near 7m. Probably comes with commitments to drill a zillion wells a year or 70% goes to the govt. or there are too many zeros after the '1' and it should have read 100bbls a day which tbh would be more of a realistic number. Maybe will have to spend another 20million on the non producing field just to keep the operating license. Who knows, but on the face of it, too good to be true comes to mind. Market seems to think so too. Anyhow, doom and gloom over. :) must soon be time to get the castrol r wafting over the neighbours gardens.
