RE: Best AZ interview to date27 Nov 2020 12:57
Hi MRRR,
Finally got round to the interview.
Agree it was good as an intro for any newcomers, although as others have commented, some was difficult to follow (I couldn't follow the bit about the origins of SYME at Bocconi Uni, for example)
(1) The interview was 'soft' , with a 'fintechie' : .."Dinis Guarda - citiesabc is a fast growing Youtube Podcast Thought leadership channel focused on profiling global leading inspiring people, leaders, CEOs, authors, technologists, academics. We highlight the ideas, products, inventions, software, books & solutions to the multiple challenges / opportunities we face in our cities / nations with the advent of Society 5.0 digital transformation 4IR AI Blockchain Fintech IoT disruptive tech Dinis Guarda is author of books such as 4IR: AI, Blockchain, Fintech Reinventing a Nation" "How Businesses and Governments can Prosper with Fintech, Blockchain and AI?”, “Blockchain AI Crypto Economics"Dinis Guarda has been listed in global fintech, blockchain, AI, social media industry top influencer in position 5/10/20/100 rankings: Top People In Blockchain by cointelegraph 2019, The Artificial Intelligence Power 100. He is the founder of citiesabc.com openbusinesscouncil.org intelligenthq.com fashionabc.org ztudium.com techabc.org idna.technology.."
(2) AZ referenced (without naming) the wine producer example (Tasca d'Almerita) which is good, why share this with one of the 'converted' (Dinis Guarda) and not with the intended buyer of his product/ his shareholders ? There's no NDA issue, here they are : https://winenews.it/en/wine-if-the-warehouse-turns-into-economic-liquidity-without-opening-credit-lines_417592/
(3) About the only 'new news' re marketing approach for long-term followers was the 'pivot' to re-shape the portfolio towards larger co's, where the expectation is that more savvy CFO's would better understand the offering, push harder for adoption...and then cascade down that business's supply chain. So more 'top down' than hitherto.
(4) In the M East, AZ mentioned the prospect of tapping into local government infrastructure by monetising public sector warehousing inventory, sounds like an iMass led initiative.
(5) Lots of nuanced 'techie' stuff, above my paygrade, interesting for fintech academics but unlikely, IMO, to register with most of his intended (?) audience, product users or potential investors.
They'll probably want to see a meaty RNS with names and numbers, this interview gave neither.
IMO
