Parliamentary energy is discussing with the ministry the resolution of the oil and gas laws

The Committee on Oil and Energy, headed by MP Hiba Halbousi, and in the presence of a number of members of the Committee on Sunday, visited the headquarters of the Ministry of Oil to discuss a number of important issues related to the work of the Committee and legislative work and control.
The Information Department said in a statement received by Al-Ghad Press, that the committee started the visit by meeting with the Undersecretaries of the Ministry of Oil, Mr. Neama Al-Fayyad, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Oil, Hamed Al-Zobaie, Moatasem Akram and Karim Hattab. The contracts of the companies of Car and Qiwan and on the contract of Al-Barham Company on the hydrogenation of naphtha in Kirkuk, where the Chairman of the Committee asked the Messrs.
She added that "the Chairman of the Committee discussed with the agents of oil and gas and the National Oil Company, where the Chairman of the Committee MP Hibet Halbousi, that the Committee had already sent a letter to the Ministry, stressing the need to expedite the Ministry of Oil to complete amendments to the two laws in order to legislate in the House of Representatives "Because of their importance in resolving the differences on the export of oil as well as the protection of oil wealth as the property of all the Iraqi people without discrimination."
The committee also discussed the issue of contracts concluded by the ministry with a number of oil companies, where the Chairman of the Committee MP Hibet Halbousi that there are observations, inquiries and question marks on the contracts of the companies Kar and Qiwan and Barham investing in hydrogenation of naphtha and improve gasoline in the province of Kirkuk.
The chairman stressed, according to the statement, "the importance of reviewing these contracts by officials in the ministry in order to prevent any waste of public money and the protection of oil wealth."
"The committee met with Sarmad Hussein Abdullah, inspector general of the ministry, and discussed with him the need to activate the oversight and inspection role of the inspector general's office in auditing the performance of departments and companies affiliated to the ministry in a professional and civilized way away from methods that frighten employees and affect their interaction and encourage them to cooperate with his office," the department said. Halabousi also discussed with the inspector general the issue of fines and entitlements related to Kar and Qiwan, estimated at 135 million dollars, and the Integrity Commission asked the ministry's inspector general to re-investigate the matter.
Al-Halbousi called on the committee's inspector general to cooperate with the committee in holding c
