I wonder if he needed the power bill to be able to nationalise the lithium fully and now maybe he can only stop new permits, we’ll just have to wait and see.

Looks promising for Sonora becoming a monopoly for us as it would prevent future concessions being granted:

The proposal provides for the protection of lithium as a strategic mineral owned exclusively by the Mexican State , canceling the possibility of granting concessions to private companies for its exploitation."

Great news if that comes off, like I said previously it would give us a potential monopoly on Mexican lithium.
With Ford, Tesla and GM as possible investors would Ganfeng Sell 30% of La Ventana and we sell our 30% off giving the new buyer 30% across the project as a whole and netting us a tidy sum?

The point was that HAS could grow to the same mcap as Lynas and if it did, a 4% stake would be worth a lot, these are just my estimated values for what we might be able to achieve, not anything official.

Kiran has been talking about converting this to equity, I'd expect that to be in the range of 2-4% of HAS mcap (£6m - £12m)

It is very undervalued at the current price nobody knows when that will change, maybe after the PFS or the two (possible) IPO's, perhaps a buyout of Sonora from Ganfeng if the mex gov situation gets clarified?

China’s Ganfeng Lithium says major US automakers could make a “strategic” investment in the Sonora lithium mine in Mexico, as they seek to create a North American supply chain for battery raw materials.

China’s largest lithium producer said that an investment by Ford, GM or Tesla would help provide automakers with reliable supplies of lithium that can be easily shipped across the border to plants in the US.

“We are open to having strategic investors in our Mexico project, together with investment we could have an offtake agreement with them,” Wang Xiaoshen, vice chairman of Ganfeng, told Benchmark . . .
