Looking at the chart I'd say the average copper price so far this quarter is around $5.70-$5.80 in USD, considerably above $5, so the picture should be even brighter.

Come on man... Look at the trades at the time, the bid / ask was not 53p / 55p at 12:44... it was 52p / 53p. The 100k buy at 53p took the spread up to 52p / 54p. Look at the daily chart and see the dip.

Look at the trades around the time, immediately preceding the trade we had an 8.6k sell at 52.61p at 12:38 and a 20k sell at 52.7p at 12:40. The bid ask spread then dropped from 52p / 54p to 52p / 53p and we had the 100k buy at 53p. Not sure where you get the 53p / 55p spread from, but please explain how someone is selling 100k at the ask price when the sells for lower volumes were 0.3p to 0.4p lower.

Ha, just after my last post I checked the delayed reported trades and we had buys of 100k, 125k and 200k. Well that theory was proven correct pretty quickly! More of this tomorrow please, that's serious money.

The article just mentions grain boundary diffusion in general rather than something more specific that might be covered by a Uni of Birmingham / other patent.

Agree with Jimzi that the SP held up very well today, USAR is currently down 6%. We likely have someone accumulating at this level given how much I could dummy sell earlier and how strong the bid was, despite quite a few sells. The same was true yesterday.

Gold recovering very strongly, bounced $115 off the low at $5,000 already.

In this bull market days like today are happening more and more often. In a bull market you get big corrections to the downside, it comes with the territory. Being invested in gold and (particularly) silver shares I have now got used to this volatility and instead of being scared by it I see it as an opportunity. Days like today are the reason why it pays to have some cash on the side lines (if possible) to take advantage of the fear trade. Been topping up across my portfolio, and particularly here at Greatland.

Looking forward to the recovery in gold price and share price, and the many catalysts we have over the next few weeks taking us back into the £7's and then potentially the £8's. I'm sure GDX will be doing some front running today!

There's a 200k buy from late afternoon yesterday that's just turned up. There were also a number of delayed reported buys that turned up after close yesterday, including one for 130k, so plenty of interest out there still.

Apparently Marex have taken over Winterflood and they have are now just operating under the Winterflood name, so we won't have Marex as a separate market maker. This is a shame as it reduces our coverage to just six MM's.

They are definitely separate projects, there is no question of that. On grain boundary diffusion, the process was not developed by / is not owned by Mkango. It is used across the industry, including by Mkango/Hypromag in the short loop recycling process. The MP Materials project in the article has been known about for a long time. I wouldn’t take this as any evidence / indication of a partnership or arrangement between Hypromag USA and MP Materials.

Yes the lease agreement was discussed at the time when it was RNS'd on 11th December.

On the MP Materials site being in the same location, people have made this link before and considered what it might mean. I don't necessarily think it means a partnership or takeover, the area is known as a bit of a hub for rare earths, which I think is why we have located there. Obviously a partnership could be possible, but there is no info other than our plants being in the same city, that would confirm this to my knowledge.

Interesting bit form the article: MP Materials expects to invest more than "$1.25 billion into the Northlake project, which is supported by a $200 million incentive package from state and local authorities". They are getting a $200m incentive package from state and local authorities. I have previously suggested that we may benefit from such support and JT has mentioned the possibility in previous presentations. If we were to get the same proportion of capex funding we would talking about roughly $24m for our Texas plant.

105k UT at 55.20p, making us look like we closed down. We were actually up for the day in reality based on closing mid prices of 55.5p yesterday and 56p today.

Velcro, for once we are not in agreement, haha! Who knows, but I follow the trades very closely (still have all of them saved in an excel workbook going back 10 months) and it's just my feeling based on the patterns, transaction sizes and timings. Of course I could be wrong and just overthinking things as usual!

We had a 1.02m sell on 12th Feb, a 300k sell on 17th Feb, a 450k sell on 19th Feb, along with countless round number batches of 25k, 30k, 50k and a few 100k's. Yes I definitely think there is swing trading going on and others will have their reasons for selling, as evidenced by a guy posted on here the other week about selling a batch of circa 300k over a number of trades, but I also think someone with a substantial holding has down-sized. I don't think anyone swing trading is going to be doing this with over 1m shares and a number of the big sells / batches of sells were not at resistance levels or highs so less likely to be due to swing trading. Anyway, doesn't really matter either way, we can both agree on where we will end up!

I can currently sell 0.5m shares above the advertised bid price. I think that tells you all you need to know here...

I think we've had the same seller(s) for quite a while now and they don't appear to be finished yet. Whether this is just a long term holder like Stewart Newton or Michael Geoghegan offloading, or something more nefarious i.e. an entity trying to keep us range bound, I have no idea. Frustrating, but the re-rate will happen eventually.
