Right on queue we have a delayed buy for £19.99k at 43p from 2.50pm. Similar time to when it began yesterday at 2.42pm. Really think this American buyer accumulating theory has legs.

I always used to laugh when I saw posts on other BB's like "just wait for the American markets to open, this will fly", but I am starting to see this play out here. The bid was dropped to 41.5p around 1.20pm, but around 1.42pm massively strengthened, and we have been been creeping upwards ever since. Will again be interesting to see the delayed trades come in later.

Sanderling, that is often true, not here though imo. We've worked out that posters to this BB probably own c.10% of the shares here (certainly if you include Myles), and if the conviction of their posting is anything to go by, no one would give these up for a low ball offer.

We have discussed potential takeover prices / values before and the view was that with a 91p indicative value of Mkango's MKAR shares, a takeover offer below £1.50 would likely be laughed out of town. I think the only way that it could be taken out for below £2 was if Vitol were to come in with an offer. Anyone else would need to be offering well over £2 given Vitol/management/insider ownership here.

In a word: no. 60p would not do it. Depending on who the bidder was, imo they would either be paying in the £1's i.e. Vitol given their already large holding, or in the £2's if they are building from scratch.

Interest certainly seems to have picked up again with an auction at 44p. Americans again!?

Remember that we are developing a long loop process for our UK, German and US plants too, which will complement our short loop process (the main focus) and allow us to provide a wider offering to customers and make our overall magnet manufacture process more efficient e.g. allowing us to reprocess magnet swarf that has been created as part of magnet production process. UoB has been progressing this with a pilot plant. There is a place for long loop recycling, but our tech / short loop recycling has a big energy, environmental, time and cost advantage, meaning that we should be the market leader.

Seems like the SP has taken another breather. Will be interesting to see if we get a big pick up in buying after American markets open like we did yesterday.

The Canadian closing bid is $0.50 CAD from what I can see on yahoo finance, which is 48.54p based on current exchange rates. Canadian closing ask is $0.93 CAD, which is 50.16p.

SG, when we were at just over 5p a year ago today my target was 50p, to take half my holding out. A ten bagger given my average at the time. How things have changed, as velcro pointed out last night. New target to take circa half my holding out is closer to £2. As I have quoted here before, famous resources investor Rick Rule says he built his wealth on the 50 and 100 baggers, not the 5 and 10 baggers.

Steven, a good percentage of long term holders are topping up today rather than selling, which gives you a good idea where everyone thinks this is heading!

Well we’ve got multiple MM’s set up on the bid at 40p and a load of other shares being bid for above 40p so the signs are very positive.

Yeh as Parker said, the Canadian share price tends to follow the UK price, but perhaps with a bit of a discount due to lower liquidity. Parker suggested that the Canadian share price has never led the UK price, which is what we are all hoping pans out tomorrow.

My suggestion was that if US buyers are responsible for the rise in Canada, and can also buy on AIM (see my posts earlier today suggesting that we already had US buying on AIM) then a rise in Canada is likely to be followed by a rise in the UK, as the US buyers will get a better price on AIM and therefore continue their buying here and drive up/equalise the price with Canada.
