I too believed in RY and the company, so much so that I still hold didn’t even sell when it peaked that May Day at 40p as I believed the same as you.
I won’t forget and my wife will certainly not allow me to.
Yes , we have been and continue to be shafted.
RY must be close to 70 yrs now and even closer to retirement, that will be his priority.
Of concern, I contacted my bank, First Direct HSBC through which I bought AMC in 2014, to enquire regarding my right to vote, they had no knowledge of such a vote, ffs ( both hands over face emoji)

I indeed remember you reporting on your meeting with RY some 6 or so years ago in London, if my memory serves me.
We were all so elated at the time and the general feeling then was that RY was the dogs Bo......s, how things have changed.

I’m with you, same circumstances, except today I was unable to buy heating oil and have been told by 4 delivery companies that they can’t give me a price as they are currently without and are waiting for deliveries. I have agreed to be placed on their waiting list but such is the length of the list I cannot expect a call/delivery for at least 10 days. God knows what the price will be by then.
Will need EUA to come in just to heat the house ,,,!

Tigra, some advice - when you get this house with a log burner, make sure you don’t buy a brand new one, buy a second hand one.
Such is their design that the new ones only burn kiln dried wood ( you’ll have to buy it in and it’s expensive) for environmental reasons. The new ones don’t burn your choice of wood..

EUA was tipped in the Sunday Mail, forget the year but we were in Spain, lounging on sun beds alongside the pool when I read out the article to my wife suggesting it may be worth a go and could be a sound investment.

Informatively she reminded me of my other shrewd investments citing AMC and my failure to sell at their peak.
I cut the page out and chucked it in the suitcase.

Months later while packing to go away I found that page, read it again and decided to go for it and bought in.

A good while later I boasted to my wife that EUA had doubled in value to 2.5p.
She exclaimed
“ You need to play safe, sell half and take some profit for once , you know what happened to your AMC shares at 40p and now they’re 2p “

They just won’t let go will they !!,

Well, you guessed it - I did !
I sold half my holding.

Anyway, since those 2.5p days I have taken pleasure in slowly and regularly recouping my holding and an almost equal amount of pleasure in constantly reminding her of her financial advice !!!!

Ian, not had a go at this for over 12 months so please put me down for this Friday.

With today’s excellent well anticipated news and the ultimate sale of assets on the horizon what can we expect next ?
Is there a recognised sequence of events in the sale of such mining assets ?

Yes totally agree.

18 months ago his regular informative updates had us on the edge of ours seats. Then they obtained the funding from us and silence, nothing.
Still holding, having not sold a share but so disappointed with the man as both a CEO and an individual.

Whilst we are confident of receiving a “ significant dividend “ when the sale goes through, has there been any indication that it will be paid per share held or could it be per 100 or 1000 shares held, as often paid by companies ?

You have been in this relationship for a very long time and have remained true.
Ask yourself what has changed and should I be initiating a divorce just because someone I don’t have know has told me I should.
