Regarding "CEO's excessive remuneration" (which I am not implying was directed at Stuart) am I right in recalling that he took a pay cut to come to SBTX, or am I misremembering?

Tom Winnifrith's bearcast. Given how close he is to SOH I can't imagine it would be wrong. Also he started noting this issue a few days ago. Were it an error he surely would have corrected it.

Look back to previous presentations and announcements from two+ years ago. Ashman already tried the influencer route. Several "celebrities" and influencers in the space plugged Axisbiotix, which led to the 500 subscribers which was significantly under their expectations. Given the underwhelming response Ashman pivoted away from the influencer, TikTok route.

I used to work in academia. Many academics are employed full-time at their universities but also maintain other commitments that are time-consuming, or have other commercial roles. It also depends upon how her university apportions her employment. Often external commitments, if they are linked to the subject you are employed within are classed as part of the 1/3 research requirement of the standard academic employment contract.

The buying is likely related to Hot Shot Rockets newsletter suggesting SBTX could double by Christmas. Two other shares it tipped have also had a very similar price rise pattern. It has helped bring in new buyers. The rise is unlikely to be due to leaking news, or if so this has leaked at the same time as the stock tip.

I just got an e-mail just now about partaking in the IPO. The minimum investment is 5k.

And Marcos holds the record for the "government that stole the most money from their country". Their practice was that any company that was successful that they wanted...they stole.

It is fantastics news, and if they manage to get the mine working the company will be utterly transformed. It has, surprisingly, though barely moved the dial on the share price.

Part of the reason might the incoming president is the son of the man who holds the Guinness world record for the most money ever stolen by a government leader. Their practice in the late 70's and early 80's was to steal any company they liked that made a bit of money...

I entirely agree TheNavigator. My wife is Chinay (Chinese-Filipino) and some of my closest friends from a university I worked at in Quezon City took part in the Edsa uprising and now work alongside human rights lawyers. They recall after the revolution to overthrow Marcos having a tour around their palace that was dripping with the gains of corruption. Our business friends (some of whom are super rich) are moving capital out of the country.

To highlight one example from Marcos' long list of corruptions: he took over a sugar magnates business by kidnapping his son. He then lowered the minimum wage on sugar workers so, with his stolen business, he could milk a bit more money from it. It also meant that some of the poorest people in the Philippines were even poorer and Marcos, who had billions, got a little bit more wealth. But that is the nature of that family.

Citi group are brokers though, it is likely their stake is the result of nominee accounts, i.e. private individuals who hold shares in WSBN through Citi group.

Ronald, judging by the 2021 date at the bottom of the website, and "December 2021" in the pdf presentation for the website it's obvious that it has been in production for a while. It means instead of doing nothing as repeatedly bleat on about in December they secured SAU funding, had the prospectus published, and they were putting the website and corporate presentations together.

I don't think anyone would believe a website being two weeks later than what was stated in an informal e-mail qualifies as a substantive, let alone notable failing, but to be rather within an acceptable margin of error. But if there is nothing else for you to try and exploit to keep your chorus of accusations against BMV sounding I suppose that's all you have left to try.

Indeed Kurt. The last figures were it would require initial funding of around 20 million I recall. That is extremely modest when most gold projects require 100's of millions. But then BMV are not explorers opening up new mines, they are refurbishing old mines that went out of production when gold was a fraction of its current price. It's a wonderful business model.

(Side note: we have some business in the Philippines so I follow the financial news there. Another hint for people to explore after my post about the website this morning: look at the recent mining changes in the Philippines. BMV still own a approaching 500,000 ounce mine there at Batangas. If sentiment keeps moving the way it is it might be back in play at some point...)

I would hope so, the difference between the discounted NAV (3-4p) and the share price (1.7p) is too large. If they pull off the production fair value will be into 6p+. Sentiment appears to have been hit due to the lack of website updates, which is unfortunate because in the scheme of things a website adds little value beyond promotion. BMV cancelled all promotional expense to keep costs down, I believe the website was included in this. Were BMV a pump and dump, or lifestyle stock it would have a flashy website but little substance beneath it. BMV have seen SAU join the stock at 3.5p and have published a prospectus. Those are not immaterial achievements. It is also reassuring that BMV has one of the highest percentage of stock in directors' hands of any plc I have seen, and they have been receiving their salary in stock too. Also I should mention I e-mailed Jonathan Morley-Kirk a few days ago at 11:00pm at night. He replied within 30 minutes.

I've been using the price drop to quietly pick up stock. In my view it offers a fantastic risk-reward ratio.

Indeed and a fact that is not given enough attention is that the recent value of BMV at 3.5p, which SAU paid for their shares was reached by an independent, experienced firm. BMV and SAU disagreed about the price so sought an independent valuation. It's double the current share price.
