Labour themselves said at least 4,000 pensioners will die if the Tories took it away. What’s changed? Surely if they wanted to have a new plan for paying it, then fair enough but they don’t. Targeted payments would cost more than they are saving.

One of my customers has invested in a company that has been given status to remove the old System X from exchanges up and down the country. They strip it down then granulate the material and it then goes through another layer that magnetically removes all the different metal types in different hoppers. He was amazed at so much gold and other rare metals used in the circuit boards. You worked on these so probably know this already but it just goes to show that a) the exchange closure process is already happening and b) it’s not just the valuable copper that’s being recovered.
