They agreed the price was excessive but not unfair, that is probably because if you only want a line only from the OLO’s they don’t have that product, it has to come with broadband even if you don’t want or use it and that will be priced accordingly.
They also said that during that period plenty people switched from BT and often switched back and there was fair value in the BT brand because people knew it could be slightly cheaper elsewhere but decided not to change. You can’t punish BT for having a high valued brand. Otherwise we could all sue Ferrari and Rolex etc for selling dearer cars and watches.
