Re Vardar, if the micro accounts do refer to that amount for all net assets, not just cash or the assets on the ground, including the licence areas, then we’ve invested more over time than its total net worth, which is hard to believe, but should obviously be reason enough for investigation. This considering we don’t even own two-thirds of Vardar in return for our rolling investment.

Only my initial thoughts.

Yes, it’s most concerning, the behaviour of the BoD, especially since Kurt’s abrupt departure. We’ve only really had a little bit of news from Finland and we know there’s a lengthy review, but that hasn’t hampered work at Grafintec, only at Jokkmokk Iron and at Vardar. But we don’t know why all three projects haven’t ground to a halt. The obvious points to the Sami appeal re Kal, but we knew of the appeal while making our work plans for this year there, PFS etc, so it’s difficult to accept what is currently not occurring. Raising money lastly on the back of what should now be occurring.

Yes, I feel the same as you do. If a deal is being struck, a handshake in the background, then I ask myself just who is it that has struck the deal? If it were Kurt, he’s since gone. Why would he tie up a deal and then depart before said deal was officially announced?

Hard to envisage there is any deal, for that reason.

And so we wait. Which frankly is a sorry state to be in, without any idea what’s happening.

Yes, there isn’t a lot we can say that is positive at the moment, and this is the truth. The work at Grafintec is progressing but without timescales for anything it really isn’t a saving grace.

Pocko, yes I agree. There are low cost options when relaying news. I suppose there’s nothing wrong with it, providing shareholders are informed of such channels for news, other than RNS, which, as you mention, has to be used for anything price-sensitive.

I still obviously feel Ed should have made the effort to officially introduce himself, along with posting on LinkedIn, not instead of.

I’d expect some sort of statement from him before long. A bit of clarity and direction. What he is going to actually do first etc. Surely not sit in complete silence until the review is over?

Anyway Pocko. He’s here now, and after what I consider to be a weak start, let’s see how competent he is, most importantly, on behalf of shareholders.

Hi all. Interesting posts, some unsavoury, which is a pity. My thoughts are that not everyone relies on the use of social media for information. There will be shareholders and potential investors who only rely on RNS feeds and email confirmation, so in terms of Ed, those ladies and gents will have no idea whether he did actually take up his role with us on 7 August or not.

For that reason, the lack of any official introduction I feel is setting a very poor standard, no matter whether an RNS may cost our Company money. Getting a new CEO on board is surely a pivotal moment.

In my opinion and also considering the state of affairs currently with BEM.

The directors of Vardar have certainly been very much ‘hands-off’. Any information to come from Kosovo has always been via Kurt. Yes, it looks that way Pocko, Easy Street, and we only have an abundance of further exploration targets to investigate, nothing more, for all the £millions invested.

Other than the talk of spinning Vardar out, we haven’t had any update re only Vardar since the 12 January RNS, almost seven months ago, when we gave them £250k to enable them to prepare for the 2023 exploration/drilling campaign. Not even to fund the campaign, only to prepare for it. Doing what we don’t know, but there has been no campaign that we are aware of, so perhaps Ed should investigate this. We did increase our percentage holding in V by a tiny margin, but what’s the point in that, if Vardar is non-operational?

Just pondering.

I suppose if we don’t hear anything from him this week then it may be that he’s sworn to secrecy. I’m sure most of us would introduce ourselves to shareholders immediately, if we’d have taken over as CEO. If he doesn’t, it’s yet more of the bizarre from BEM.

Am I wrong? I’m not pleased that Ed has taken the time to update his LinkedIn page to tell of his new role commencing today, resulting in many good wishes and possibly a bit of crawling, but he hasn’t been ars.ed to put out a hello to his new shareholders.
