I haven’t seen Liz’s Sooz. In some ways it’s a real pity she didn’t feel she could redeem the situation from her early errors. Or be given the chance to perhaps.

The speech itself was brief but to the point. Good.

I’ve only seen Rishi’s speech from yesterday. He looked a bit strange in it, like it was a hologram of a robot. He will hopefully relax a little more from hereon in Sooz.

Hi Hasty. Yes, it was obvious the Cons wouldn’t want a general election but I don’t feel Rishi will blame anyone if the woe continues. He’ll look at himself first, it seems to me. Time will tell if he also goes down in flames, but I hope he does well. We need it. He seems level-headed enough but he’s got some job on.

At least while BEM has been ultra dull we’ve had a distraction.

Hasty, I do agree, but in terms of the rules insofar as the present Government is not yet at the end of its current tenure, there is no obligation at this time to have a general election. I’m not saying there shouldn’t be one, but I’m dealing with the reality of what we are presented with. The Conservatives are in. So, what we are left with is who out of the Blues can best lead the Country as PM.

Not necessarily who is the best human being. Lol.

Sooz, if the Conservatives try and hold off from having the general election, then I can’t think of anyone else apart from Boris who would be more suitable to become PM. Boris is massively flawed, but he has plenty of character and can take a knock. He’s tough and won’t allow the UK to be pushed about. Just look at who the Conservatives have had left to choose from and what has occurred since his departure. There has been even less leadership shown with many characters on that side of the House finding it too difficult to hold a pencil, let alone hold office.

Hasty, we are not constitutionally obliged to have a general election after such a short term with this party in charge, that’s the point. So who, other than Boris, is a better candidate from within the Conservative Party? I like Rishi, but he isn’t a tough enough character, in my opinion, to lead a country.

We shall see.

Sooz, if he’s willing to come back and have another go, that’s if, I believe that sort of bottle is really very admirable. Not many would bother. Of course, he hasn’t thrown his hat back in the ring yet.

Hi. Thanks Sooz. Yes, I do like Joe, he seems a really decent chap to me and was quick to show his thanks for to Liz and support for the UK. I’m not sure we’ll see a general election, simply due to the nature of this current Government. There isn’t a constitutional necessity for a general election, but we haven’t seen this kind of frequency of PM replacement since the WW2 era. It’s unsettling to say the least.

Apparently Boris has cut short his holiday. If he gets voted back in by his own party members, what does that say about the existing MPs? Arse and elbow springs to mind.

Or Boris might try and do it all over again. Lol. The Conservatives will hang on and on and on if they can. No shame.

Sooz, yes. It’s quite embarrassing as well though really. Liz made a number of serious mistakes early on and that was enough. She wasn’t given the chance to redeem the situation, obviously deemed too risky. Unlike a proper Truss, she herself didn’t have any support. Lol.

Yes, I’m sure many of the long-term holders are still doing exactly that, holding on for brighter days. Gaining the concession licence was a massive stepping stone and we finally achieved it. The Sami may never accept what we are trying to accomplish at Kallak, but Kurt will always try and make them part of it and very welcome. We must see where their objection goes though, but in the meantime we must continue to develop the project. The time is right to do so.
