I reckon Biokit will be involved, even if it is just supplying the reagent for Avacta.

Also they are based in Barcelona with so a few connections with that great City.

On September 23, 2021, the FDA revised the EUAs of certain molecular, antigen, and serology tests to establish additional Conditions of Authorization in response to the continued emergence of new variants of SARS-CoV-2. The revision requires test developers to update their authorized labeling and evaluate the impact of SARS-CoV-2 viral mutations on their test’s performance as outlined in the letter. This revision is effective as of September 23, 2021 for all EUAs that are within the scope of the revision, regardless of whether the revision letter has been added to the test in the table above.  Given the large number of affected EUAs, the FDA is working on adding the revision letter to each EUA as quickly as possible. This revision does not apply to EUAs for authorized IL-6 assays or standalone specimen collection devices and does not apply to EUAs that include substantially equivalent viral mutation conditions of authorization.
The FDA has determined that establishing additional conditions is necessary to mitigate the potential risk of false negative results due to either decreased sensitivity or non-reactivity associated with SARS-CoV-2 viral mutations. As set forth in the September 23, 2021 letter, developers of authorized tests that are within the scope of the revision are now required to routinely monitor emerging viral mutations and their potential impact on the performance of the authorized SARS-CoV-2 test(s).  If potential impacts are identified, the EUA holder must communicate with the FDA and end users about the potential risk that presence of the mutations may have on test performance. The EUA holder must also update their authorized labeling consistent with the revision letter and submit the labeling to the FDA within 3 months of September 23, 2021. By taking these steps, the FDA and the test developer can quickly act in response to the potential risks identified and, when applicable, share the findings on SARS-CoV-2 Viral Mutations: Impact on COVID-19 Tests.

Everyone focused on Affidx & AVA6000 and quite right too, but one of these deals could pop at any time:
In December 2018, Avacta announced a partnership with LG Chem Life Sciences to develop therapeutic Affimers for multiple targets. Avacta is responsible for generating Affimers to the undisclosed targets and for early optimisation work. Both parties will then collaborate to progress the candidates through to drug candidate selection, after which LG Chem will be responsible for all pre-clinical and clinical development in addition to worldwide marketing. LG Chem aims to have the first clinical trial regulatory submission in 2021.
At H119 results, further financial information on the deal was disclosed. The deal included an upfront payment of $2.5m, near-term milestone payments of $5.5m and long-term clinical milestones of $180m. LG Chem will reimburse Avacta for any incurred R&D costs associated with the collaboration and pay Avacta royalties on any potential future product sales. In addition, if LG Chem exercises its option for additional targets, Avacta will be eligible to receive up to $130m in option fees and milestones.
In May 2015, Avacta entered into a licensing partnership ($500,000 upfront) with Moderna Therapeutics to develop Affimers for undisclosed targets. Under the terms of the agreement, Moderna has exclusive access to the Affimer technology for certain targets and Moderna is able to extend the partnership to other targets. Moderna was also liable to pay Avacta for R&D relating to pre-clinical work.
In February 2019, Moderna opted in on an undisclosed target that granted the company an exclusive product licence. Under the terms of the agreement, Avacta can now potentially receive clinical development milestones and royalties (on potential future sales) on the asset. The scope and size of any milestones are undisclosed and we have no information regarding when clinical development will initiate or if it will at all.

Watching this board over the last week is getting very painful with the trolls.

All the LTH shareholders have done a lot of research and Avacta must be one of the most researched companies on Aim.

Nothing is concrete until a RNS lands but this last few days with the news of Lateral flow tests replacing expensive PCR at airports.
Now this a fantastic opportunity for the most accurate and UK made test to step into the PCR tests shoes.

That’s 115,000 people employed in just the top five airports in the UK.

All these tests will be bought by paying public and companies not cheap Chinese rubbish the UK gov are giving away.
