Just checked another chemical Methanol

Lots of vendors but they are not one of them….

Didn’t say they are manufacturing AVA6000

But they are listed as a vendor on the AVA60000 page ….

It would be better long term if MTD was found in C7 or Avacta had to use their own BED dose.

SP will not re rate until efficacy data published.

The success to date of AVA6K, AVA3996 and the pre|CISION platform ,could be what is delaying any licence deals or a full T/O.

Imagine the legal minefield a BP suitor would have to navigate as not to infringe on any existing licence deals if they want a full T/O.

Would LG Chem, Daewoong or Point Bio sit back and let a BP suitor rip up or amend their agreements.

Could one of these already be at the table with an offer, Point Bio must of seen more Pre/Cision data than any one else .

Would LG Chem and Daewoong let a rival BP buy the affimer IP that they have spent millions on and are about to take into clinic.

By building up this portfolio of licence agreements Avacta has probably saved themselves from being taken out months ago.

Once efficacy data released grab the pop corn and a beer and sit back and watch.

In 1990 Roche acquired a majority stake in Genentech.

In 2006 Genentech acquired Tanox in its first acquisition deal. Tanox had started developing Xolair and the development was completed in collaboration with Novartis and Genentech.

The acquisition allowed Genentech to keep more of the revenue.

In March 2009 Roche acquired Genentech by buying shares it didn't already control for approximately $46.8 billion.

This story has been told time and again on here and twitter.

But the reason I’m bringing this up is we all talk of T/O or Licence deal but if a big Pharma was to buy a majority stake in Avacta the scenario above could happen.

Avacta already have licence deals in play:

Affyxell

LG Chem

Point Bio

Astrea

If one of these deals comes good or Pre/Cision takes the whole market then the as above the BP that takes the majority stake would buy the shares it didn't already control.

Affimers will take centre stage once Affyxell put their products into clinical trials.

The stem cell drug they are developing using affimers will be a game changer just like Pre/Cision.

We have all said it ,Avacta have so many shots at goal.

Avacta appoints Shaun Chilton as Non-executive Director…

Why has Shaun Chilton who is one of the most connected individuals in BP circles moved to little Avacta.

AS and EF have negotiated deals in the past and have steered Avacta to where they are now, but they are sitting on the Holy Grail in the Pre/ Cision platform and need to step up to the next level.

Avacta appointing a Chief Business Officer is such a positive statement.

£280k for a small Bio is a lot of money but the top negotiators in the industry would be on a lot more than this.

Avacta could offer shares as extra to this salary to make up the difference.

But how do you convince the new Chief Business Officer that the shares would be worth it for them,without showing the data in an interview.

This is where my hunch comes in….

Has Shaun convinced him to move to Avacta

Shaun appointment was RNS’s on 19th June so plenty of time to put the Chief Business Officer position in place.

James has worked in the Clinigen business for 15 years, moving from the United Kingdom to the United States in 2008 to establish the local clinical trial business. After a decade in clinical trials services, James worked in the unlicensed medicine business, as well as in corporate development, where he worked on market development and the acquisition and integration of CSM and Proleukin® (aldesleukin). 

Today James works in the commercial medicines business, overseeing Clinigen activities in cell therapy. This is central to Clinigen's ongoing partnerships to explore use of interleukin-2 (IL-2) with pharmaceutical companies, academic investigators, and researchers to ensure they can access the only IL-2 approved by the United States Food and Drug Administration (FDA) for use as a human medicine. Clinigen also partners with scientific and medical communities that are investigating Proleukin across a wide variety of indications, regimens, and therapeutic approaches.

I think AVA6000 ticks the box here for approval.

As noted by Fallowfield and Fleissig in their abstract, “New treatments that increase PFS may not be of sufficient value to patients with advanced-stage cancer unless accompanied by tangible quantity or QOL advantages. Any symptom relief that patients gain from treatment resulting in tumor shrinkage or stabilization must be balanced against the toxic effects that drug therapy itself creates.”37 A task force—Assessing the Symptoms of Cancer Using Patient-Reported Outcomes (ASCPRO) Multisymptom Task Force—has recently proposed that the measurement of symptomatic change, as a subset of QOL, may be a sufficient outcome in clinical trials to allow health providers, patients and regulators confidence in the use of new treatments.38 Of note, the FDA has explicitly included a symptom benefit as an option for the pharmaceutical industry for both anticancer and supportive-care agents in its 2007 “Guidance for Industry: Clinical Trial Endpoints for the Approval of Cancer Drugs and Biologics.”

Conclusions

Chemo without the side effects……

So far Avacta have proved AVA6000 can do this,

safety is proven but they can’t comment on efficacy until P1b has started but all the signs are it works.

The market is waiting and the SP suffers.

At the moment Avacta are trying to have side effects on their wonder drug AVA6000 and keep raising the dosage with each cohort to find the MTD but they may never find the MTD because it’s that good and still the market punishes the SP.

Other Bio stocks have promising drugs in trials investors pile in but there is no evidence that they work so far not like the data Avacta have released for AVA6000.

Avacta have released that The pre|CISION™ tumour microenvironment activated chemotherapy platform releases active drug only within the tumour microenvironment – limiting systemic exposure and enhancing the safety and therapeutic potential of treatments for oncology indications.

They have also stated Dox acts as Dox in the tumour so it works…this will become a drug with data released now safety is proven.

The SP should be rising with each new cohort,because this is proving more Dox is being administered to humans than as ever been administered but the SP keeps falling.

I’m baffled and RAH is right the Market is thick as mince.
