Description
Lateral flow tests are used for the rapid (typically 10-30 minutes) detection of a coronavirus antigen.

The test strip itself is composed of a nitrocellulose membrane, retained within typically a plastic housing with a window at one end with a sample pad for the addition of the sample and a window at the other end showing a visual positive or negative result dependant on the presence of the virus.

If we are not in Liverpool trial but I still think there could be a chance of BAMS being involved.
Avacta is the only company making LFT's that I know of that have the ability to make 100+ million tests worth of reagents per month. New facility being built and finished to GMP critical design near their Wetherby site.

so we will have all the stock of affimers needed to supply expected demand.

You don’t run a trial on a city the size of Liverpool, unless you know the technology works, somewhere like the Redcar trial 16,000 population yes that would be a good trial.
But a city you have to know it works.

When it’s starts on Thursday I’m refusing to be tested unless it’s saliva test and they tell who makes the test.
