What Halfords have going for them:-
1. Demand for bikes MASSIVE AND WILL CONTINUE. Why? Keep fit, cycle to work, Brits holidaying in the UK.
2. Electric scooters. Just legalised in New York. Uk Govenment "fast tracking" study here......... during THIS MONTH. next Wednesday is 1st July. When they legalise electric scooters the demand is going to be SEVERAL FOLD wht it is now IMHO.
3. Brits holidaying in the UK due to virus concerns on planes etc. So CAMPING, demand for ROOF RACKS, more car milage so more car spares to come.
4. Massive demand for training equipment, see Halfords WEB site, many out of stock but now stocks improving.
Difficult to see how they could not have made loads of money during the lockdown and the future with demnd for bikes, camping equipment, roof racks and car spares likley to have very strong demand!!

I was in and out quite a few times on the way to the £1.90 so I am a long way up.
I kept one tranche, and have bought more this morning.
There is massive demand for bikes at the moment, and Halfords stock levels have considerably improved just in the last few days. It was a concern 10 days or so ago when the stock levels got very low.
The Government "fast tracked" evaluating electric scooters some months ago.
New York has just legalised them yesterday.
If you tnink about them they are safer than bikes, and bikes are legal.
I would sooner fall 150mm off a scooter than 3-4 feet off a bike.
When you fall off a bike you often get entangled in it. I broke a toe a few years back this way. These is little to get entangled with on a scooter. You can step off and if you are on the road the pavement is just there.
Their speed and range have vastly improved in the last few years. Some have a range of 30 miles.
One more thing Halfords, for obvious reasons have less offers I believe. In fact the exact same bike I bought for £585 in November is for sale now for £799.
So I think the results will be very good.
I think the outlook will be just FANTASTIC as I believe the UK Government will legalise electric scooters. Sales will go up 5 to 10 fold IMHO. People will ride them to work. Simple as that.
Also if the lockdown comes back Halfords are not that affected as we know.

their bike stocks ran very low, I think putting people off. However we actulally don't know if the bike supply due to virus was to blame, the masssive, massive demand, of a bit of both.
Now looking at their web site the stock levels are moving up nicely, and we know bike demand is still massive.
Also we know the UK government are trialing electric scooters, this has been "fast tracked".
IMHO halfords caould hardly be in a better position.
I believe the sp will re-visit the £1.95 and pass £2.00 after the results on 7th July, just 11 days away.

Electric scooters IMHO safer than bikes.
Fall off bike big drop, can get tangled in spokes, gears etc...
Fall off scooter you fall what...... 150mm?? You can step off easy.
They have huge range now, some 20 miles plus.
Many are light enough to carry on train, bus etc..
Really............. when they are legalised they are going to be as hard to find as rocking horse manure. Halfords stock about 15 types, including the UK best seller.

If you look at the "Bikes available next week" on their web site it has improved to 91, was more like 30 !
Also the "Bikes coming soon" it is 32, and many of them NEW TYPES.
We all know there has, and still is a massive demand for bikes.
The bike I bought last November for £585 they now want £799 for.
I think they are "RAKING IT IN".
Results 7th July............... I expect the sp to move North from here.
Also electric scooters. Banned at the moment but IMHO will be legal soon.

now, much to the annoyance of the shorters.
The shorters have to have borrowed X amout of shares to sell.
One wonders how many they have left, if any.........
It must be easy for say, the likes of Golman Sacks to buy in in these situations and force the shorting Co's to close, thus forcing them to buy!

accumulate cash even more, pay a small dividend, then develop the asset more. Likely further down the line oil price will be more like $55, or more.
