I’m long because even if there is a major dilution, there will be a re rate on news and they can’t delist us UK shareholders (what they are planning) for free. I’m also hopeful the next trading statement and impact of Avatar will be positive. Plus they will do the next part of the restructure as an equity trading motion to protect the tax losses that will be used as “bargaining” with creditors

Hi Hexam, I would put it at slightly higher than that, maybe 20-25% range, but yes, numbers are not the mega type that some suggest, let’s hope for good popcorn and hot dog sales ..

I’ll do the stat myself, if US Avatar revenue so far is $280m, and say at best it triples over the next few months, then Cine will generate (say) $280m x 3 x 0.66 x 0.35 = $194m, would be nice if it were higher, but that probably only equates to 10% of Cines 2021 earnings. Double it, if you think Avatar will hit $1.5bn in the US alone

Yes, all other markets for Cine Avatar and all other movies you can add in to Cine numbers but think we are quite far short of pre covid / 2019 total revenues.

Or put another way, how much is Avatar predicted in all US, then multiply by 0.66 x 0.35

Cruis, if you calculate it this way, if about 2/3rds of Cine revenue is in the USA and they have (say) 35% of the market, how much will Avatar revenues generate. Now compare that to previous Cine revenues (for everything, all markets, full 12 months).

Be interested in what that statistic shows how dominant Avatar US are versus all other Cine takings, all markets, all films for Year 2022.

Can someone put me in perspective how good Avatar 2 could be when inflation adjusting for mega movies of the last 50 years eg Titanic, Star Wars, ET, Top Gun 1, even movies going back in time like Gone with the Wind, Sound of Music … in other words how good is Avatar 2, could it really “out box” these previous giants?

As you know Wolff I passed away on 16 August 1977 so don’t have family other than Lisa Marie and Priscilla who watch over me from GraceLand. Xmas was a little quiet so I found tiktoks in between seeing when the cinema theatres were open here in Memphis.

Mixed thoughts on this, found the AMC has his own twitter account and frequently communicates with his “stakeholders” which brought his meme stock greatness, however his APE stock is now down from $10 to 60c and he’s now tweeting that Wall Street has it in for his company and they have a liquidity problem (funny that after todays hardly significant amount of money capital raise). By contrast, of course the opposite of the nil communication we hear from CINE. See what you think of his Tweeting…
