Morning, Jona. doesn't look like the market liked the Vickers report. Short FTSE and Euro off 540.

damn - didn't have the balls to leave a position open over the weekend and missed out on some serious pippage. Lots of gaps down, but will be trading with the trend and only trade them short if they fill (doubtful). I posted on the Barcs board over the weekend on how bearish it looked and to expect further falls. Made a lot of new friends, no doubt. Banking report out at 7am and I hope it causes a weak rally to short into as the French banks should cause the falls later in the week. If 5140 breaks on the FTSE, I have a trendline at 5090ish and support at 5050.

all I need is QE3 to be announced over the weekend to ruin it all (pretty unlikely, I know). For that reason, closed for 115 points. There's plenty more meat left in this move next week.

well, didn't get that gap fill to load up more, but short 106 points to the good, doors varnished; a good day all round. Enjoy your weekends.

that's Crude for you - lost count how many times that's happened to me. Need WIDE stops IMO.

indices could be in bad shape. Failed to make higher highs and dollar strength obviously not good. Dow has a wee gap at 11188, where I'll short if it hits.

teeny weeny gap at 58.8. Will double up short if it hits.

so what's to stop the dollar now? Previous high on 12th July was halted by 200sma and Euro support of 13829. Busted through both of those now. Going to keep short from 760 as a positional trade. Will figure out targets later.

ok, breakout confirmed and actually gapped up on next 10min candle. If it's a whipsaw i give up on the day and go fishing.

good call on the 850, farmer. I'm done with longs - 40 point loss overall and stupid countertrend entry / hopeful bottom fishing. EUR falling to bounce and dollar not giving up on 7644 persuaded me to look for momentum trade on breakout. Feel there will be fireworks soon if the breakout is confirmed.

farmer - jibberish to me, but would love to know what he's on about. Dollar hit 7644 and fell back as expected. Stupidly put my stop too close, though so stopped out, but have gone again from 870, this time with an alert instead of a stop.
