closed Dow at B/E. Wee support line at 11290.

closed my FTSE short just before US opening for 50 profit. Not bad considering where it was last night! Still have nicely blue Euro short open, and DJI short only 20 odd points down. Nice to see them take it up on open to shake a few off - means it's going down.

this conference call...so you don't think popadum has something to say, but doesn't have the guts to say it face to face? ps 5pm BST...is that British Summer Time?

yeah, never quite mastered the MA crossover trade, but defo use them as potential supp/res areas. The new set up is really to identify the strength of a trend. The FTSE has been retracing to the 5sma (dynamic trend) on the 1hr and only pushed through to the 8 when it went for gap fill.

Hi, Rob. Still use EMAs (20 and 40) on daily, weekly and sometimes 4hr, 1hr. 5, 8 and 13 SMAs are now on 1hr and less and relate to Fib levels. Looks OK when price is trending.

Morning Jona - tidied up my charts over the weekend. Now using different settings for intraday charts - all SMAs instead of EMAs. 5, 8 and 13, with BB centred on 8. Also using ADX and faster MACD settings, although I gather MACD lags too much to use on 10mins or less. Still getting used to the new set up so not sure how efeective.

morning all. Well done CW - needs guts to go for the gap fill, but usually pays off. Support at 5300 - waiting to see if it acts as resistance.

ok, night all; pretty late here. Last Sunday's gaps were only filled monday evening, so plenty time.

anyway, FTSE big level at 5398, Dow at 11525. Euro thankfully re-tested it's weekly support trendline, which acted as resistance (spike at 937 was the re-test), and Dollar held on to 7644. Hoping for a wee retrace to bring me some relief.

last week was a f#ing nightmare. Didn't put stops on my trades as I thought the shorts were being squeezed and the whipsaws were pretty severe. Then thought I should go for a clean install of Windows; just to complete the fresh start etc... but that backfired and left me with no internet until Friday night, when I finally saw the damage. So down a fair bit. May even be consigned to the boredom of dummy trades for the next three years.

Hoping Dollar closes above 7644.

small FTSE gap to close at 5215 (from last night sell off). Good way to squeeze out the shorts, then take it down again. Maybe.

Gold likely to test 1800 again today, and there is a daily trendline just coming into play around that region. May get a wee pop.

Actually fancy it to test trendline at 5130ish, and even break through in next few sessions. But guessing really..

short squeeze from hell, but the levels held. Needed a few stiff drinks to sit that one out.
