Irene - I think I made myself clear on the accounts front - in that I am NOT an accountant and thus have a very basic understanding of them. I am looking for cash burn, what is needed to see it through to profitability, a history of raising funds and not delivering, etc. The tangibles, intangibles etc confuse me as much as the next BBM.
When I spoke of IP value, I selected one of OPTI's eight; LP-LDL. I used LP-LDL because we have a benchmark valuation by using Chr Hansens LGG strain. See the article I posted. I'm sure you would have picked up what Chr Hansen paid for LGG and perhaps drawn a financial comparison with OPTI market value. Had you read, digested and understood the key area's where I pointed out OPTI's LP-LDL is more diverse, superior, thus potentially more valuable in the FUTURE, you may perhaps begin to understand what OPTI have on the books in terms of strong IP and future value, and LP-LDL is just one of eight. I understand why some peeps are distracted with current market cap and revenues, etc. I am not and have stated why many times. We all have to make our own judgements. The detractors have their view and I respect it for the most parts, apart from the obvious BBM baiting peeps for sport.
LP-LDL has dozen hybrids if you like. For example, have a look at the latest deal with TATA for LPGOS.
I'm staggered you have not understood OPTI is not just about weight management, though you single this out which ironically, is expected to be the lowest revenue driver out of; LP-LDL and SweetBiotix, as example.
If you are talking of hype, then again you have missed understood the area of excitement. The hype as you put it, (as far as I am concerned and those I speak with) is LP-LDL, NOT weight management.
Microbiome is a buzz around the world and it is precisely because scientists now believe the gut is the second brain and has real impact on our health and there is a race to better understand it. OPTI are ahead of the field in this respect, in that they are already producing raw ingredients that are heat resistant and can go in pre and probiotic foodstuffs and have a real health benefit backed by science and peer group acknowledgements. Per recently said he had meeting with several companies with Sacco ahead of the Las Vegas exhibition.
Note for example; "this is overpriced" or this "worth 7p" there is NEVER qualified. It's just a BBM statement and somehow we are expect to go, oh no perhaps they're right. I think I'll sell. Then you get stupid comments like, you should wait for the low 60s before buying, then hey presto, it's worth 7p. The thought process of a goldfish springs to mind.
I grant you, the science is a big hurdle to get over and grasp, as is the new products in new markets with companies many of us have never heard of.
There is a saying, if you don't understand the company don't buy it.
