Why are credit facilities being announced in case Sidara’s cheeky final offer is rejected. 35p will need to raised raised but is still rejected.

Sidara is interested in WG but has blown its chance and won’t get the company in my view.

Not true - instrumental in promoting the credit facility announced yesterday.

Then there is the Scottish Gov influence.

To my mind the threat of a lower offer is akin to a petulant child annoyed by the FCA intervention.

I sense that institutional pressure encouraged the intervention by the FCA.

If Sid goes lower the offer would almost certainly be rejected and takeover fail/end there and then.

To further strengthen WG the company will try to sell further non-core assets bringing 2025 into the black.

The Scottish finance line will then be offered on a short term basis at a nominal IR as cash positive position is achieved in 2026 and finance facilities also renegotiated.

To my mind WG is somewhat protected as a strategic UK/Scottish company that will survive like NatWest.

IMO.

To me this provides the support to keep the company independent.

The facility will provide short term support and funding for loan repayments if needed.

Scotland wants to keep its WG independent in my view.

Plenty of time for more non-core disposals before 25th Aug.

Was wondering if UK Gov wants another UK company falling into foreign hands.

Gov intervention with a small “i” with the FCA involvement.

35p will need to be increased. With a total SP value per share of circa £1 min. Not sure if cash injection post transaction needed so IIs could accept £0.6 to £1.0 in Sept.

WG future in the UK and after the shenanigans are behind us the company and share price will remain securely UK based.

Sidara screwed up its offer - that is dead now. Future remains strong and UK listed.

My view based on significant investment and aligned with the institutions.

Order book is record high.

Results and share buy back all point to greater SP.

The sells are part of an organised plan by some traders.

In a week the SP will be pushing back up again.
