The suspension of pre emption rights end at the conclusion of the next agm, unless a further resolution is passed. That is my understanding. Please check and shout out if I'm wrong

spoil heap. Im not too optimistic about the spoil heap they are looking at because if its from driving the crosscut, most of it wont contain or., But i suppose its cheap to peek and good practice on using the processing equipment. Perhaps they should have a look at the smaller bit of spoil where the early to mid 1970s miners tipped, as from contemporary accounts the method of extraction was to pick out the visible gold then discard the rest. Perhaps the company have more up to date information.

Totally with you on the bulk samples being held back and the sp being a big undervaluation.

I don't think that discussion of future placings, especially their nature should be taboo, we should be open on all matters. Restoration of shareholders preemption rights should drive up the sp as it removes the threat of chaep backroom placings, which ultimately costs existing shareholders.

"as youve probably understood by now" drop the patronising tone oceleot, you've made no compelling arguments and you fail to back any of your assertions with any figures. Did you even read the document I published a few days ago ?

If you want some credibility answer cost the following with reference to costs to company and share price impact :-
A £ 5M fund raise by :-
1. Bergen style convertible
2. Closed placing
3. Open Offer (with shareholder guaranteed participation)
4. Full Rights issue

IG not accepting spreadbets on QFI, only closing positions .... thats a good sign

If we restore our preemption rights, then the onus is on the BOD to ask shareholders who wants to be involved in a new placing

We dont go with a begging bowl in some sort of oliver twist like moment to the BOD,
The bod work for us .... they are answerable to us. The way some people talk on here youd thought GF was headmaster of a shcool they're a first year at.

it was a rights issue in all but name. I'm quite open to that variant
the main difference between the QFI open offer and a rights issue is that no premium was paid to shareholder who did not take up their rights. For the benefit of those new to investing :-

Mr A is a shareholder ... he owns 100 shares in a company whose shares are trading at 50p
the company decides to raise money through a rights issue
They offer 1 share for each 10 shares at 40p a share
This confers the right but not the obligation to Mr A to buy up to 10 new shares for 40p
Mr A decides to
Buy 5 of these new shares at 40p paying £2

In a rights issue 5 of the shares are not taken up and sold on the open market by the company for 50p
The premium 5 shares x (50p - 40p) = 50p is sent to Mr A

In the form of open offer that QFI did then, those who didnt take up their "rights" did not recieve a premium.

The important facet to me, is that existing shareholders are not excluded from discounts

I suggest you take a look at QFI's recent very successful offer. Their BOD has asked to keep shareholders preemption rights suspended, but shareholders rejected that. A very successful offer was then made which raised sufficient funds to take the company to profitability.

I would like that replicated with Alba
