Good point Frog. A big boost in market cap would be very helpful just before Anglo take a stake.
Being optimistic though I'd hope that we could get a good deal regardless of market cap given the quality of project, the interest from other majors and the fact that we have funding for another drilling season.
Agree with you that Anglo should now know what they are going to do and we may find out before Christmas
Disagree on results though. If it's not a full sale having results to put out to the market after some inevitably sell on the news would be good for the share price and help keep some interest.
I just hope you all keep an open mind on this. If it is Anglo taking a small stake and you were hoping for a takeover don't be in a rush to sell out.
Hypothetically it could be announced tomorrow that Anglo are taking a stake and then as soon as the exclusivity is over another major could make an offer for the rest.
Exciting times to be involved here.
Hopefully. Having turned down previous offers it's likely they were offers that meant us giving away too much. Anglo don't own 100% of any of their copper assets so it seems they were the ones happy to take a small stake as NvS preferred. No point giving away too much if we can fund another drilling season ourselves.
If it was full sale there's no reason to give them exclusively.
All my opinion of course and I haven't written anything off.
NvS has mentioned Robert Friedland and Voiseys Bay before (Crrux interview I think). A perfect example of one major taking and initial stake followed by a bidding war. If we really have got serious interest from several majors this is the best way to go about it.

Equity purchase would be ideal. Gives AA an early stake and gives us the money to properly drill all targets next drilling season. Then open it up for a full sale. If a few majors are interested as NvS has said it should give us a nice bidding war.
Spot on Ortus.
Step back from the day to day movements and moaning about slow news etc.
Fundamentals.
Bigger picture for copper looks very good.
Looks like we've got a lot of copper.
We're well funded.
Less than two months of exclusivity left with Anglo American!!!!
Several others expressing interest.
The whole point of a junior explorer is to find a deposit and then get the involvement of a major in some way. We're very close to achieving that.
Why on earth is that scary? Looks clear to me that's he's leaving space for an Anglo rep as part of a JV or equity stake deal. Just as Don Bailey left to make room for Caleb Mulenga. Mr Mushinge still holds 6.9%

Can read about it here if anyone wants to
Anglo have spent 7 years looking for copper in Zambia. I'd say a deal is extremely likely.

I wouldn't want to guess exactly what will happen but I don't think it will be a waste of time. The BoD choose to offer Anglo exclusivity despite interest from others. Must be confident they're ready to make an offer
There may well be a few waiting to get involved further down the line especially with the extension being mentioned recently. They could get in at around 3.5p at just the right time and be laughing at those who have waited months/years topping up above 4p(myself included). Equally they might miss the RNS announcing a deal. Good luck to them. Not a risk I'm willing to take.
Nick has no interest in taking this to production. He has made that very clear. The point of working with Anglo would be to have the money to fully drill all targets and sell the rest later at a higher valuation. This would fit the AA model of not taking 100% and also fit Nicks model of returning maximum value. Plenty of large projects have multiple majors involved. I agree with the point that a JV still may not value us correctly but the idea would be a full sale eventually. Having said that a deal with AA should take us to a much higher market cap and give funds the confidence to invest. The SP should become much more realistic when we are supported by funds and not PIs with no patience and traders.
I think Nick still has to keep the pressure on AA even if he does believe they will offer a good deal. Showing any weakness may lead them to think there is room for negotiation. He has to keep them believing we don't need them. I think that is part of the reason why Arc are working on the economic studies at Cheyeza. To show the majors we can fund ourselves if need be.
I still don't think it will be a full takeover. I find it hard to believe that FQM won't be involved in this project in some way. With their plant being so close and them spending so much money on it and all the infrastructure involved surely they would want to benefit from a major discovery next door. Maybe Nick is trying to attract them and others.
All my opinion of course. I just think there are so many opportunities here. I can't believe we are still 33m MC
