Theo 25bp would reek of political influence imo...but your probably/unfortunately going to be correct...ps Canada firmly took the bull by the horns recently with 100bp...I know its a fine balancing act for the mpc..but dithering now could see high rates (5%+) in the next 2-3years...

Got to be 50bp surely...I even thought some of the 9mpc may of voted 75bp....be interesting to see what the fed usa does next..75bp is nailed on with them....ive questioned many times of this bb the independence of the bofe mpc...I still feel they are politically influenced..gla

BREXIT BRITAIN has received a huge trade boost following skyrocketing UK exports to the European Union.

According to new data from the Office for National Statistics (ONS), goods exports to the EU from the UK reached a record high of £16.9billion in May. This is the highest level of goods exports from the UK to the EU since 1997 with the data showing an increase of exports by £2.3billion in May.

Ms Truss, who was among the ministers who did not resign from Boris Johnson's government earlier this month, has announced a plan to review thousands of laws inherited from the EU after Brexit.
